The agenda is designed for professionals working in the dynamic and diverse California treatment landscape, one of the largest addiction treatment markets in the country.

Session topics include trauma, family dynamics, adolescent engagement, attachment wounds, emerging substances such as nitazenes, xylazine, and GLP-1s, harm reduction ethics, body image, burnout prevention, cannabis as a clinical disorder, AI and social media’s impact on youth, and recovery capital.

Through a blend of workshops, lectures, and experiential learning, faculty help attendees translate research into effective practice using motivational interviewing, contingency management, neuroscience-informed tools, resilience strategies, and relational frameworks.

The agenda is intentionally curated to support clinicians, counselors, program leaders, medical providers, and treatment executives in strengthening outcomes, improving client engagement, and navigating the evolving realities of modern behavioral healthcare.
