David Dawdy, MA, LLP brings over 30 years of experience in behavioral health, specializing in substance use disorder (SUD), mental health treatment and systems improvement.
As the former Mental Health Director for the Michigan Department of Corrections, he led innovative programs addressing mental health, SUD, and sexual offense treatment for justice-involved individuals. He managed a $52 million budget and oversaw treatment programs staffed by over 400 professionals. Now a Behavioral Health and Justice Consultant and Expert, David collaborates with organizations to optimize service delivery, implement evidence-based practices, and enhance outcomes for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
A dynamic speaker and trainer, he is passionate about reducing stigma and improving access to care through education, advocacy, and strategic solutions.
