Accredited Industry-Supported Symposia: Hesitate Before You Amputate: Integrating Debridement, Skin Substitutes, and NPWT for Limb Preservation

Learning objectives: 1. Analyze patient and wound characteristics to determine candidacy for limb preservation versus amputation. 2. Apply evidence-based wound bed preparation principles across a range of wound etiologies, including appropriate use of enzymatic debridement with collagenase to support selective removal of necrotic tissue and optimize the wound healing environment. 3. Evaluate the role of enzymatic debridement, skin substitutes, and negative pressure wound therapy in the management of complex wounds through case-based applications.
