NPIAP: Pitfalls in Staging Pressure Injury

Diagnosing and staging a pressure injury needs to be done accurately. The accurate diagnosis and stage allow proper treatment. Many skin and soft tissue wounds are confused with pressure injury and when pressure injury is listed as the diagnosis, the facility may be penalized for that wound. This session will address the common errors in labeling pressure injury and its stage.
