Navigating Challenging Patient Encounters

In our day to day practices, we are challenged not only by clinical complexities, but also frequently by psychosocial issues and confrontations such as gender bias, provider bias, intoxication, and belligerent and abusive behavior. This session will examine some of these scenarios and offer suggestions for efforts to turn a negative encounter into a positive one.
