Innovation Theater Lunch (Non-Accredited): Translating Research into Practice: The Evidence and Clinical Impact of Placental Allograft Products in Wound Care

90 min
Thursday, October 03, 2024
11:40 AM - 1:10 PM

Sponsored by Organogenesis.

An expert panel discussion highlighting the latest RCT and Real-World clinical evidence supporting the use of placental allografts to treat chronic and acute wounds. Our panelists will discuss how the latest evidence translates into their day-to-day practices, based on a variety of wound types across sites of care. Finally, the panel will provide insights from recent research showing how the use of both hypothermically stored and dehydrated placental tissue, as protective barriers, can improve the frequency and time to wound closure.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the latest research and clinical evidence including Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), Real-World Evidence (RWE) and the latest R&D benchtop data
  • Evaluate the practical considerations and challenges associated with different types of placental allograft tissues in various care settings
  • Review case studies and discuss clinical objectives and observed outcomes
