Advanced therapies comprised of cellular tissue products from placental allografts represent the cutting edge to improve health outcomes for chronic wounds. Recently published research using big data has illustrated that these advanced therapies lead to improved healing rates, reduced wound recurrence and reductions in 1-year mortality and amputation rates. We will share key findings and real-world evidence on this subject matter and discuss meaningful use of advanced therapies for chronic wounds.
This non-CME presentation is held in conjunction with the SAWC Fall 2024 Meeting. The opinions and recommendations expressed do not necessarily reflect the view of HMP Education or SAWC. This program is not intended or eligible for continuing education (CME/CE) credits and does not meet guidelines governing CME/CE.
