Rhonda Sullivan

Dr. Michael N. Desvigne is a true plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has chosen to dedicate his expertise to reconstructive surgery, specifically wound reconstruction. Dr, Desvigne believes performing reconstructive surgery has made him a better wound healing clinician and managing complex wounds has made him a better reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Desvigne brings a wealth of experience from a variety of disciplines. He is board certified in plastic surgery, general surgery, wound care and hyperbaric medicine. With this quadruple certification he approaches each wound problem with a staircase approach including surgical and nonsurgical solutions.

Dr. Desvigne is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Arizona Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Academy of Wound Specialists, Wound Healing Society and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. He is a world-renowned lecturer and consultant in wound healing technologies. He has created multiple programs for inpatient and outpatient centers of excellence in wound care, with a focus on the continuum of care.

Dr. Kirsner is Chairman, Tenured Professor and the endowed Harvey Blank Chair in the Dr. Phillip Frost Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and Professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is Chief of Dermatology at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics and Jackson Memorial Hospital and directs the University of Miami Hospital Wound Center. Dr. Kirsner received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, his medical degree from the University of Miami and a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Miami, after he completed his clinical training. His clinical training included internal medicine, a clinical and research fellowship in wound healing and dermatology at the University of Miami. His research interests include Wound Healing and Skin Cancer Epidemiology. Dr. Kirsner serves as one of 3 academic editors for the journal Wound Repair and Regeneration and on the editorial boards for several other journals in dermatology and wound healing. Dr. Kirsner serves in national leadership positions in both Wound Healing and Dermatology, including serving as past Vice President of the American Academy of Dermatology and is currently President of the Wound Healing. In addition to career development awards, foundation, industry sponsored funding and CDC funding, he currently leads or is part of several NIH funded grants. Independent of books, book chapters and abstracts, he has published over 650 articles.

Alisha Oropallo, MD FACS, FSVS, FABWMS is a Professor of Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University/Northwell and the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. She practices as the Director of the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Northwell Health and Program Director of the Wound and Burn Fellowship program at Northwell Health. Dr. Oropallo completed her residency in Vascular Surgery at Boston University Medical Center and her General Surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center, NY. She has been the lead investigator on multiple clinical trials, published papers, and has been invited to present lectures in wound healing globally. She is interested in education, research, and quality measures in tissue regeneration to help improve patient outcomes.

Rhonda Sullivan, DNP, PhD, MBA, MSN, CWON, LNCC, NE-BC, CSPHA, CLSSBB, is a nurse executive, researcher, educator, and legal nurse consultant with 33 years of nursing experience, including 26 years in wound, ostomy, and legal nursing specialties. She currently serves as Vice President of Implementation and Clinical Outcomes at Bruin Biometrics, LLC, where she leads harm reduction initiatives, including path to zero implementations, outcomes measurement, and collaboration with healthcare organizations to improve practice, workflow, and clinical and financial outcomes.

Dr. Sullivan holds doctoral preparation in nursing practice and business and is board certified as a Nurse Executive, Wound-Ostomy Nurse, Legal Nurse Consultant, Safe Patient Handling Associate, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She is a published author, award-winning researcher, and international speaker whose scholarly and clinical work focuses on pressure injury prevention, with a focus on deep tissue pressure injury, skin assessment in persons with darkly pigmented skin, acute skin failure, harm and waste reduction, evidence-based practice, health economics, and medic-legal issues.

Her leadership extends into her roles as President of Legal Nurse Partners™, Executive Director of the iWOC Nursing Foundation™, and Director on the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants Certification Board. Dr. Sullivan is passionate about empowering nurses and other healthcare leaders to advance clinical excellence, improve outcomes, and strengthen organizational performance by reducing preventable harm, avoidable hospital-acquired conditions, waste, and unnecessary variation in care.

Emily Greenstein, APRN, CNP, CWON-AP, FACCWS is a Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse Practitioner at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. She is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been involved with other wound organizations and . is currently elected to the Board of Directors for the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists, past president of the North Central chapter for the wound, ostomy and contience society. Emily has served as an expert reviewer for the WOCN Society and the Journal for WOCN. She is a blogger for Wound Source. Her main career focus is on the advancement of wound care through evidence-based research.

Dr. Anthony Tickner, DPM, FASPS, FRCPS, FACCWS, FAPWH, specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, advanced wound healing, The Diabetic foot, Charcot, podopediatrics, biomechanics/ gait abnormalities, sports injuries, arthritic conditions and neuromuscular diseases.

In his wound care practice, Dr. Tickner is passionate about limb salvage and employing all available technologies to effectively treat hard-to-heal wounds. Dr. Tickner reinforces a multidisciplinary team approach with patients taking an active role and part ownership of their wound healing journey.

Dr. Tickner is a Board-Certified Foot and Wound Care Surgeon and is the President of the Massachusetts Foot and Ankle Society. Dr. Tickner is Fellowed by the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, The American Board of Podiatric Medicicne, The Association of Diabetic Foot Surgeons, the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing, the American Board of Wound Management as well as the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow. He has numerous publications to his credit and is an esteemed presenter at national and international conferences.

I am a second-year medical student at Weill Cornell Medicine. Originally from Vancouver, Washington, I attended Cornell University for undergraduate and majored in Human Biology, Health, and Society.

Outside of school, I enjoy playing and watching soccer, playing poker, and trying different restauratns in the city.

Eric J. Lullove, DPM CWSP MAPWCA DABLES FFPM RCPS(Glasg)
Dr. Lullove is in private practice in Coconut Creek, FL. Dr. Lullove currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for the West Boca Center for Wound Healing. His focus is on advanced wound healing and limb preservation with research and clinical interests in exosomal research, wound proteases, diabetic foot ulcers, atypical wounds, peripheral arterial diseaseand artifical intelligence systems. He has specific experience in reconstructive lower extremity surgery; collagen replacement wound therapy and regenerative cell therapies.
He has received certifications from the American Board of Wound Management and is a Master of American Professional Wound Care Association with Added-Qualification in Physician Wound Management. After receiving his degree in Psychology from Wayne State University, Dr. Lullove earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2002. Dr. Lullove serves as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Today’s Wound Clinic and Wounds. Dr. Lullove also serves the Alliance Of Wound Care Stakeholders as the WHS Liaison and CTP Workgroup chair.
Dr. Lullove has authored and co-authored articles regarding cellular tissue products, venous compression, exosomal wound healing, advanced joint implant surgery and is an expert in regulatory affairs and coding/reimbursement issues. He has lectured nationally and internationally on wound management and reimbursement topics and is active professional pickleball senior pro and instructor. Because of his work, Dr. Lullove was awarded a Fellowship into the College of Royal Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2023.

Andrea Muniz, MD, is a Visiting Research Fellow working under the mentorship of Dr. Price at the wound clinic. A graduate of Anáhuac University in Mexico City, she brings a background in palliative care as well as clinical experience in vascular and cardiothoracic surgery. Her research focuses on advanced wound care management and micronutrient deficiencies in chronic wounds.

James Pai, MS, is a Research Fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Surgical Education at Tulane University School of Medicine, focusing on clinical wound care outcomes, biomedical informatics, and surgical education curricula.

Bree Salazar is a Healthcare Operations Executive and Chief Operating Officer of Valley Wound Care Specialists in Glendale, Arizona. With 20 years of leadership experience in program and business development, team leadership, and daily operations management, she oversees the operational infrastructure of a multi-site, multi-specialty wound medicine practice serving the greater Phoenix area.

Bree brings deep experience in wound medicine program development, with specialized expertise in revenue cycle management, CMS/LCD compliance, and wound care billing practices. Her operational knowledge extends to Noridian JF billing requirements, skin substitute and cellular/tissue product (CTP) compliance, payer contracting and network management, and provider credentialing across multi-site practice settings.

As COO of VWCS, Bree has led the practice's operational growth and program development, building the compliance frameworks, staffing structures, and business processes that support high-quality wound care delivery. She also serves as Finance & Operations Director for the Arizona Society of Wound Clinicians, supporting the broader wound care community across the state.

Bree is driven by a genuine passion for continuous learning and a commitment to advancing wound care education, working to expand access to quality, evidence-based care for patients across Arizona.
