Spence Deutz

Spencer is an Executive Account Manager with Smith+Nephew, where he has spent the past seven years supporting healthcare professionals and advancing patient care. He earned his degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Dakota and later completed an Advanced Practitioner Specialty degree in Orthotics at Century College. Prior to joining Smith+Nephew, Spencer spent seven years as an orthotic practitioner at Sanford Health, specializing in cranial remolding orthotics for head shape deformities. Outside of work, Spencer enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Innovation Theater Dinner: The Role of Platelet-Rich Plasma in Treating Acute and Chronic Wounds (non-accredited)

This interactive clinical discussion will explore the role of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the management of acute and chronic diabetic wounds. Attendees will gain practical insights into the clinical evidence supporting PRP therapy, patient selection considerations, and successful treatment approaches utilized in real-world practice. Through expert-led discussion and case-based learning, participants will review clinical outcomes, application techniques, and implementation strategies for incorporating <b>Centrio™ PRP</b> into wound care programs. In addition, the faculty will share their experiences navigating the value analysis process, obtaining formulary approval, and building multidisciplinary support for PRP adoption.
Participants will leave with actionable takeaways, practical implementation tools, and a deeper understanding of how PRP can enhance their wound care armamentarium and improve patient outcomes.<br><br>

Emily Greenstein, APRN, CNP, CWON-AP, FACCWS is a Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse Practitioner at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. She is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been involved with other wound organizations and . is currently elected to the Board of Directors for the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists, past president of the North Central chapter for the wound, ostomy and contience society. Emily has served as an expert reviewer for the WOCN Society and the Journal for WOCN. She is a blogger for Wound Source. Her main career focus is on the advancement of wound care through evidence-based research.

Charles Parks

DPM

Dr. Charles B. Parks grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and received his B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005. He went on to graduate Cum Laude from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in 2013 with a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at the VASF.

Dr. Parks is the Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and UCSF in the Department of Orthopedics. He specializes in treating complex limb salvage, lower extremity trauma, and reconstruction. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is also associate clinical professor at the University of California, SF & California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University.
Dr. Parks is located in San Francisco, CA.
