Dennis Orgill

David G. Armstrong is Distinguished Professor of Surgery and Neurological Surgery with Tenure at the University of Southern California. He has authored over 780 peer-reviewed research papers and 120 books or book chapters. He co-founded the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) and leads USC's NSF-funded Center to Stream Healthcare in Place (C2SHiP). At C2SHiP, Dr. Armstrong finds himself at the nexus of consumer electronics and medical devices, exploring their integration for enhanced patient care.

Dr. Armstrong's has received numerous awards by national and international institutions including the Georgetown Distinguished Award for Diabetic Limb Salvage and the 2023 ISDF’s Karel Bakker Award. As the first podiatric surgeon to be named fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, and the Founding President of the American Limb Preservation Society, he has made significant strides in his field. Dr. Armstrong is committed to ending preventable amputation within the next generation, a goal that he advances through fostering innovative interdisciplinary research, clinical practice, and advocacy.

John C. Lantis II, MD, is currently the site Chief and Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai West Hospital, and the Icahn School of Medicine; in mid-town Manhattan where he practices as a senior vascular surgeon. On January 1, 2024; he was named the Director of advanced wound care; Department of surgery; Mount Sinai healthcare system.
In 2023 he became the Editor in Chief of the journal WOUNDS; a Clinical Compendium. He is the past president of the New York Vascular Surgery Society, a founding member of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery, and the Vascular Study Group of New York.

Dr. Orgill is a reconstructive plastic surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston who specializes in complex adult reconstructive surgery. He is the Director of the Wound Care Clinic at BWH and Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He has a PhD from MIT in Medical Engineering. He is a Plastic Surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Focus his clinical work on adult reconstructive surgery. His research is focused on working to develop better technologies to treat wounds including work with artificial skin, micromechanical forces, platelets and stem cells, and combining biologics, scaffolds and mechanical forces to improve wound healing and tissue engineering constructs. He has consulted for several medical device and start-up companies and is the inventor on several patents.

Charles M Zelen DPM FACFAS earned his Bachelor’s in Psychobiology from UC Riverside and he attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine where he received his doctorate of podiatric medicine and graduated as Valedictorian. He completed his residency at the INVOVA Fairfax Hospital and Georgetown University , where he was trained in foot and ankle surgery and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Zelen has been in practice in Roanoke, VA for 26 years and serves as Foot and Ankle Section Chief at HCA Lewis Gale Hospital in the Department of Orthopedics. Dr. Zelen is President of the Professional Education and Research Institute , a lower extremity CRO that has been conducting foot and ankle clinical trials since 2005. Dr. Zelen is well published in the podiatric, orthopedic and plastic surgery literature and is considered an expert in limb slavage, wound care and clinical trials involving human tissue grafts.
