Kelly McFee, DNP is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Wound Specialist and Advanced Practice Certified Wound Care Nurse who is practicing wound care and hyperbaric medicine in northwest Missouri. She received a BSN from Missouri Western State University, MSN from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, MHA from Colorado State University Global, and DNP from the University of South Alabama.
Kelly is a member of the Board of Directors for the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, a member of the board of the Midwest Chapter of the WOCN, and board member of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists where she is a past chairman of the board. Kelly is also a member of the PDSI task force, a joint endeavor with the NPIAP and EPUAP and is on the Editorial Advisory Board for WoundSource.

Pharmacology in Wound Care: WOUNDS Clinical Guidance: Debridement

This session will provide an engaging overview of current and emerging techniques in wound debridement, focusing on practical strategies for optimizing patient outcomes. Expert faculty will share insights on selecting appropriate debridement methods based on wound characteristics, comorbidities, and clinical setting. Attendees will gain actionable knowledge to enhance their debridement practice and improve healing efficiency across diverse patient populations.<br><br>

This session will award 0.25 pharmacotherapeutic contact hours.

Frank Aviles is a physical therapist with over 35 years of experience in wound care, specializing in the treatment and management of chronic wounds and lymphedema. He is deeply committed to advocacy, education, and patient care.
Beyond his clinical work, Frank is active in research and publishing and co-hosts The Frank & Lizzie Show, an educational platform for wound care & lymphedema clinicians Frank is also a consultant, advisor, and/or a speaker for various industry partners in the wound care and lymphedema space.

John C. Lantis II, MD, is currently the site Chief and Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai West Hospital, and the Icahn School of Medicine; in mid-town Manhattan where he practices as a senior vascular surgeon. On January 1, 2024; he was named the Director of advanced wound care; Department of surgery; Mount Sinai healthcare system.
In 2023 he became the Editor in Chief of the journal WOUNDS; a Clinical Compendium. He is the past president of the New York Vascular Surgery Society, a founding member of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery, and the Vascular Study Group of New York.
