Devinder Singh, M.D. is Chief & Program Director of Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Health Systems; and a Professor of Surgery and Dermatology (secondary) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his education at Brown University (college), Columbia University (medical school), and Yale (plastic surgery residency). Before Miami, he held faculty positions at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins and served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Luminis in Annapolis. In 2011, Governor Martin O’Malley appointed him as the only plastic surgeon on the Maryland state medical board, later promoting him to Chairman of the state medical board (2014–2016).
Dr. Singh has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, with recent articles in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery on breast reconstruction techniques and negative pressure dressings. His study on flu vaccines and COVID-19 garnered global media coverage, including by the BBC and NPR Germany.
A sought-after speaker, Dr. Singh has delivered hundreds of lectures nationally and worldwide. He is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS) and American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), where he has led multiple committees, including Chair of the Legislative Advocacy Committee and Vice Chair of the Breast Implant Safety Subcommittee. A member of AΩA, the national medical honor society, he specializes in breast reconstruction, Mohs reconstruction, and microvascular surgery. Passionate about global outreach, he has completed 15 cleft lip missions in Thailand, Uganda, Eritrea, Vietnam and many other countries.
