Martha R. Kelso, RN, CHWS, DAPWCA, HBOT, was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wound Care Plus, LLC, one of the nation’s largest mobile wound care organizations. With over 25 years of advanced clinical experience, Kelso is widely recognized as a trailblazing visionary and entrepreneur in mobile medicine and post-acute care. A passionate educator and regulatory expert, Kelso has trained thousands of clinicians nationwide. Her innovative "trunk-to-bed" model brought advanced, on-site wound treatment directly to patients in post-acute settings,  significantly improving clinical outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs. 

Beyond her executive leadership, Kelso actively shapes the future of the healthcare landscape through her diverse professional contributions. She serves on numerous national advisory boards, is a clinical editor for prestigious peer-reviewed journals, and is a published author. Additionally, her specialized expertise makes her a highly sought-after consultant for national companies and a trusted expert witness in wound litigation, serving in hundreds of cases across the country. Mobile Wound Management: Financial Sustainability and Reimbursement

Building a financially sustainable mobile wound care practice requires more than sound billing practices—it demands strategies tailored to the realities of care on the move. This session examines how to establish realistic productivity goals, manage visit costs, and optimize reimbursement within the mobile model. Faculty will explore real-time coding and auditing workflows, audit-ready documentation, and payer policies unique to mobile care delivery.  The discussion also highlights how outcomes data can be leveraged to demonstrate value, strengthen payer relationships, and advocate for reimbursement models that reflect the distinct efficiencies and impact of mobile wound management.
