<strong>Session Description</strong>: Researchers are exploring using glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 drugs such as Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Trulicity, and Ozempic) for substance use disorder (SUD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment. These medications are being used to manage weight loss and diabetes, although none are FDA approved for SUD/AUD, and some treatment providers are using them to address cravings.
