Herbert Aronow, MD, MPH, MSCAI, FACC, MSVM, is Medical Director of the Heart & Vascular Service Line at Henry Ford Health, and a Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University. Dr. Aronow completed undergraduate, medical school & public health studies and internal medicine residency at University of Michigan and cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. He is a SCAI Trustee, Past President of the Society for Vascular Medicine, former Peripheral Vascular Disease Section Chair and past Board of Governors member at ACC. His research and clinical activity is focused on the comparative safety and effectiveness of coronary, structural and peripheral vascular intervention. Dr. Aronow has more than 240 peer-reviewed publications, and serves on the editorial boards for Circulation, Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions, JACC: Interventions, JSCAI, and Vascular Medicine.

Alex Powell, M.D., is an Interventional Radiologist and Medical Director of Interventional Radiology at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Dr. Powell received his medical degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he was also Chief Resident. He completed a fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of California. Dr. Powell has numerous publications in scientific journals including book chapters and he has lectured in national and international conferences.

W. Anthony Lee, MD, FACS is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Lee went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at University of Michigan and a Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Stanford University. In 2000, he started on the faculty of University of Florida College of Medicine Division of Vascular Surgery, where he developed a nationally-recognized endovascular program in minimally-invasive treatment of complex aortic aneurysms. Dr. Lee joined the medical staff of Boca Raton Regional Hospital in 2010, where he currently serves as the Chief of Vascular Surgery, as well as a Clinical Professor of Surgery at FAU College of Medicine. He has been the Past President of the Florida Vascular Society and is a Distinguished Member of the Society for Vascular Surgery. He has served on the Editorial Board of several prominent, peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has authored over 30 book chapters, 120 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 350 presentations at national and international meetings, and served as the principle investigator in over 25 medical device clinical trials. His practice encompasses endovascular and open surgical treatments of the entire spectrum of vascular diseases, with a focus towards complex thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections.

He has authored and co-authored numerous articles, and plethora of grand rounds & educational presentations nationally/globally. He is deeply involved with SIR, serving on Standards and Practices, current Chair of the SIR PAD Specialty Council, on the SIR Annual Meeting Committee and other roles. He reviewes for Journals such as JVIR, JSV-CIT, Journal of CLI, Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine & a Board member of the Alliance for Wound Care Stakeholders, in Washington, D.C.

Much of his practice is dedicated to Critical Limb Ischemia Revascularization and Limb Preservation. Recently, he published a multidisciplinary Comprehensive Limb Preservation Guidebook, entitled Limb Preservation for the Vascular Specialist, with over 60 co-authors. Other interests include Complex IVC Filter Retrievals, Dialysis Interventions, Venous Reconstructions, and Interventional Oncology. He founded and Directs the Peripheral Vascular Trainees Lab (PVTL), which had its Inagural meeting in 2024. Most importantly, he is joyously married, and father to two amazing children.

Eric A. Secemsky, MD, MSc, RPVI, FACC, FAHA, FSCAI, FSVM is the Director of Vascular Intervention and an interventional cardiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is also Section Head of Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Research at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research in Cardiology and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Clinically, Dr. Secemsky splits his time attending in the cardiac catheterization lab, and the inpatient and outpatient vascular medicine services. Dr. Secemsky is the primary vascular interventionalist within the BIDMC catheterization lab, where he does complex venous and arterial procedures, with a focus on peripheral artery disease.

Dr. Secemsky leads the vascular and interventional research program at the Smith Center. His research involves utilizing real-world data to perform comparative effectiveness and outcomes research, with a focus on peripheral vascular disorders. Dr. Secemsky is involved in clinical trial design and implementation, and has served as an investigator on more than a dozen trials. Dr. Secemsky’s research program is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Harvard Medical School, extramural grants and philanthropy. Dr. Secemsky has authored more than 300 publications. He is an Associate Editor at Vascular Medicine and is on the Editorial Board at Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions and Journal of SCAI. He is on the Board of Directors for the VIVA Foundation, PERT Consortium and the Society for Vascular Medicine, and is the co-chair of the Vascular Disease Council for SCAI.

A member of the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Miami Cancer Institute physician team, Dr. Gandhi specializes in minimally invasive treatments for peripheral vascular disease, cancer, and other diseases.

Dr. Gandhi did his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and Harvard University. He graduated summa cum laude. He received his degree in medicine from Northwestern University Medical School, where he also graduated with honors. Following medical school, he completed a surgical internship at Cornell University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his residency training and fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Gandhi also dedicated an entire year to biomedical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and also served as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to joining Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, he was an international visiting scholar at Asan Medical Center/University of Ulsan Medical School in Seoul, South Korea. He has published numerous scientific papers, authored several textbook chapters and presented his research at national and international meetings.

He is also a fellow of the Society for Vascular Medicine and a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is the co-author of the textbook Interventional Oncology. Dr. Gandhi is also a program director for the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy (ISET) and Symposium on Clinical Interventional Oncology (CIO).

Daniel Clair, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He then completed his internship and surgical residency, as well as a fellowship in vascular surgery, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in clinical oncology with the American Cancer Society. He served in the U.S. Air Force as chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Andrews Air Force Base before beginning his civilian practice at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He was named the division chief of Vascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Presbyterian Campus, and then later returned to the Cleveland Clinic as the department chair of Vascular Surgery, a position he held for 10 years. He was then named professor and chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of South Carolina, where he completed a five-year term. He was recently named as the inaugural chair and professor of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Vanderbilt, specializing in innovative vascular disease care.

William A. Gray, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist, board certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology, vascular and endovascular medicine. Dr. Gray was at the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy as Director, Endovascular Intervention at New York Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.

Prior to joining Columbia University Dr. Gray was Director of the Endovascular Care at Swedish Medical Center from 1999-2005. Before Seattle, Dr. Gray practiced at Southwest Cardiology where he directed research, served as vice-chair of the Cardiology division at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., and was a founding member of the Heart Hospital of New Mexico.

Dr. Gray specializes in cardiac/structural and peripheral arterial disease diagnosis and treatment as well as non-surgical modalities for stroke prevention, research into preventing the reoccurrence of disease following successful angioplasty or stenting.

Dr. Gray has been principal investigator for numerous clinical trials, and is routinely asked to speak at national and international conferences. He has also been a consultant and device/procedure proctor for numerous medical corporations, and has been a journal reviewer for the American Medical Association.

Dr. Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and graduated from Temple University’s School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Gray’s postgraduate training included an internship, residency, and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I., where he also completed a clinical/research/ interventional fellowship in Cardiology.

Dr. Venita Chandra is board certfied Clinical Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Stanford University. Her research and clinical interests include limb salvage, technology development, and optimizing treatment for complex open and endovascular approaches to peripheral vascular and aneurysmal disease.

Dr. Chandra graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in genetics and cell biology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. She then earned her medical degree at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. At Stanford University Medical Center, CA, she completed a General Surgery residency and chief residency, a Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship, as well as a Biodesign Innovation Fellowship in the Department of Bioengineering and Medicine. She joined the faculty at Stanford in 2013.

The founder of the Stanford Extremity Preservation Program (StEPP), Dr. Chandra has substantial expertise in new and cutting-edge peripheral vascular and limb salvage techniques. She works to optimize patient management and educate residents and fellows in this complex field.

Dr. Chandra has authored more than 60 articles and reviews in peer-reviewed journals as well as many book chapters. She has presented her work around the world at many regional, national, and international conferences and symposia. In addition, she holds several patents from her entrepreneurial work.

CREST-2 CAS Registry: What Have We Learned About Improving Results?

Dr Lal is a clinician-scientist in cerebrovascular disease and in venous thromboembolism. He has an active clinical practice in two major urban hospitals. He is also deeply involved in helping academic societies grow and mature the specialty of vascular surgery.

Carotid Disease. Dr Lal has a clinical practice in cerebrovascular disease at the University of Maryland. He launched the field of cognitive-mobility dysfunction in carotid stenosis. His investigations continue with funding from the NIH and the VA. Through additional NIH funding, he is investigating how the structure & biomechanics of carotid plaque impacts plaque disruption and stroke and cognitive dysfunction. He is testing how structure responds to pharmacotherapy, rehabilitation, and revascularization. He is National Co-PI of CREST-2, an NIH trial in stroke-prevention. As PI of C2R, he works with NIH and CMS to establish physician credentialing and clinical performance standards in carotid stenting. As Director of the Center for Vascular Research, he manages a large translational vascular research laboratory with over 32 funded active clinical studies.

Venous thromboembolism. Dr Lal is a founding member and clinical leader in the PERT Program at the University of Maryland. He has just completed a VA- randomized trial on testing novel exercise interventions to accelerate thrombus resolution in patients with acute DVT. He is conducting another randomized trial on swimming exercise intervention to improve right heart ejection fraction in patients with acute sub-massive PE. He is currently using novel machine learning algorithms and genomic information to improve prediction of hospital-associated venous thromboembolism.

Yolanda Bryce, MD, RPVI completed her Medical School training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2009, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2014, a subspecialty training in Breast Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 2015, and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute in 2016. He did his clinical training, PHD and vascular fellowship at St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College, London, UK. Professor Labropoulos is on the editorial board of 11 journals and a reviewer for >20 medical and surgical journals. He has been a traveling fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, the recipient of the Presidential award of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the IUA Hippocrates medal, UIP gold medal, the Sushrutha award and AVF Founder's award. He has more than 350 publications being cited over 25000 times and he has given more than 1500 presentations around the world. He has edited 7 vascular textbooks and has contributed over 68 book chapters on the diagnosis and management of vascular diseases. He has received many awards and has obtained over 10 million dollars in grants. He is actively involved on vascular training through the American and European vascular societies and many other local, national and international organizations. Dr. Rundback's clinical and research interests focus on peripheral arterial disease, particularly complex tibiopedal therapies and deep venous arterialization for limb salvage, as well as venous interventions, carotid stenting, endovascular aneurysm repair. Dr. Olin received the 2016 Peripheral Vascular Disease Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Heart Association.

Dr. Olin has authored 308 scientific papers in the peer-reviewed literature, three books, and more than 80 book chapters. He has served on many writing committees of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He chaired the writing committee on Performance Measures in Peripheral Artery Disease and the Scientific Statement from the American Heart Association on fibromuscular dysplasia. He has published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Circulation, Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, among others. He is a past Associate Editor of the journal Vascular Medicine and Associate Editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. John S. Pellerito is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Radiology as well as the Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and Director of the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory at Northwell Health. He is also the Medical Director of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography School at Northwell Health. He is Professor of Radiology and Science Education at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and is co-director of the SONICS ultrasound program for medical students at the University. Dr. Pellerito graduated from New York University before receiving his M.D. from Albany Medical College. He is the co-editor of Introduction to Vascular Ultrasonography, in its 7th edition. He is the author of multiple original articles and book chapters, and his current research interests include developing new imaging strategies for OB/GYN and cardiovascular diseases including 3D imaging and ultrasound contrast agents. Dr. Pellerito is in great demand as a speaker both nationally and internationally and currently holds multiple editorial appointments including Radiology, RadioGraphics and Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. He was a board examiner for the American Board of Radiology. He serves as the President-elect for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and is currently President of the Vascular Testing Board for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

William A. Gray, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist, board certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology, vascular and endovascular medicine. Dr. Gray was at the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy as Director, Endovascular Intervention at New York Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital.

Prior to joining Columbia University Dr. Gray was Director of the Endovascular Care at Swedish Medical Center from 1999-2005. Before Seattle, Dr. Gray practiced at Southwest Cardiology where he directed research, served as vice-chair of the Cardiology division at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., and was a founding member of the Heart Hospital of New Mexico.

Dr. Gray specializes in cardiac/structural and peripheral arterial disease diagnosis and treatment as well as non-surgical modalities for stroke prevention, research into preventing the reoccurrence of disease following successful angioplasty or stenting.

Dr. Gray has been principal investigator for numerous clinical trials, and is routinely asked to speak at national and international conferences. He has also been a consultant and device/procedure proctor for numerous medical corporations, and has been a journal reviewer for the American Medical Association.

Dr. Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and graduated from Temple University’s School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Gray’s postgraduate training included an internship, residency, and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I., where he also completed a clinical/research/ interventional fellowship in Cardiology.

He did his clinical training, PHD and vascular fellowship at St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College, London, UK. Professor Labropoulos is on the editorial board of 11 journals and a reviewer for >20 medical and surgical journals. He has been a traveling fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, the recipient of the Presidential award of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the IUA Hippocrates medal, UIP gold medal, the Sushrutha award and AVF Founder's award. He has more than 350 publications being cited over 25000 times and he has given more than 1500 presentations around the world. He has edited 7 vascular textbooks and has contributed over 68 book chapters on the diagnosis and management of vascular diseases. He has received many awards and has obtained over 10 million dollars in grants. He is actively involved on vascular training through the American and European vascular societies and many other local, national and international organizations. He has supervised many PHD students and he is an examiner in multiple countries. He is a co-founder of the Institute of Vascular Diseases and Venous Health Foundation. Christopher Harnain, MD, is a radiologist specializing in Interventional Radiology. He currently serves as Chief, Interventional Radiology at Vantage Vascular, an outpatient Interventional Radiology practice and ambulatory surgical center with offices in New York and New Jersey. He formally was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.

Dr. Harnain graduated from University of Virginia where he earned his BS in Biochemistry and BA in Neuroscience in 2007. He received his MBA from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia in 2012 as well as his MD from University of Virginia School of Medicine.

Following an internship in General Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Harnain served as a resident in Radiology from 2013 to 2017 at New York Medical College-Westchester Medical Center. He then completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology from 2017 to 2018 at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Dr. Harnain was an Attending Physician of Interventional Radiology at Capital Health Advanced Imaging from 2018-2019. He joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in July 2019 as an Assistant Professor of Radiology.

Jose I. Almeida, MD, FACS, RPVI, RVT is a vascular surgeon specializing in Endovascular Venous Surgery, practicing in both private and academic settings in Miami, FL. He serves as a Voluntary Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Distinguished Fellow of the American Venous Forum. Dr. Almeida completed his general surgery residency at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1996, followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1998. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery in both Vascular Surgery and General Surgery.

From 1998 to 2003, he was a member of the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute; then in 2003, he refined his focus exclusively to Venous Surgery and founded the International Vein Congress (IVC)—a globally recognized educational platform dedicated to the advancement of venous disease management. Dr. Almeida is the author and editor of seminal works, including the Atlas of Endovascular Venous Surgery and Sumner’s Hemodynamic Guide to Venous Diagnosis and Intervention. His expertise is further reflected in numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters on vascular surgery. Dr. Gandhi did his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and Harvard University. He graduated summa cum laude. He received his degree in medicine from Northwestern University Medical School, where he also graduated with honors. Following medical school, he completed a surgical internship at Cornell University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his residency training and fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Gandhi also dedicated an entire year to biomedical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and also served as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to joining Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, he was an international visiting scholar at Asan Medical Center/University of Ulsan Medical School in Seoul, South Korea. He has published numerous scientific papers, authored several textbook chapters and presented his research at national and international meetings.

Michael R. Jaff, DO is the Chief Medical Officer and Vice-President of clinical affairs, technology and innovation at Boston Scientific Corporation. A professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (retired), Dr. Jaff was the President of Newton-Wellesley Hospital from October 2016-December 2019. Prior to that, Dr. Jaff was the inaugural Paul and Phyllis Fireman Endowed Chair of Vascular Medicine and Medical Director of the Fireman Vascular Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is an expert in all aspects of vascular medicine, including peripheral artery disease, venous thromboembolic disease, aneurysmal diseases, and all diagnostic strategies in vascular medicine.
He is the founder of VasCore, the Vascular Ultrasound Core Laboratory, the largest of its’ kind in the United States. VasCore has participated in trial design and independent analysis of vascular laboratory images for over 200 prospective multicenter peripheral vascular device and pharmaceutical trials across 66 countries.
Dr. Jaff has published extensively in the field of Vascular Medicine with over 300 peer-reviewed publications and 10 textbooks, is the Past-President of the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology and was the first physician to have received the designation as Master of the Society for Vascular Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, and is a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI).

Dr. Madassery is an Associate Professor of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital. He is the Director of The Advanced VIR Fellowship, the Director of Peripheral Vascular Interventions & CLTI Limb Preservation Program and the IVC Filter Clinic at Rush. Recently, is now Medical Director of VIR at Rush Oak Park Hospital.

He received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, and both Radiology Residency and VIR Fellowship at Rush. Recently inducted as Fellow of the Society of interventional Radiology (FSIR) & the International Andreas Gruentzig Society (IAGS).

He has authored and co-authored numerous articles, and plethora of grand rounds & educational presentations nationally/globally. He is deeply involved with SIR, serving on Standards and Practices, current Chair of the SIR PAD Specialty Council, on the SIR Annual Meeting Committee and other roles. He reviewes for Journals such as JVIR, JSV-CIT, Journal of CLI, Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine & a Board member of the Alliance for Wound Care Stakeholders, in Washington, D.C.

Much of his practice is dedicated to Critical Limb Ischemia Revascularization and Limb Preservation. Recently, he published a multidisciplinary Comprehensive Limb Preservation Guidebook, entitled Limb Preservation for the Vascular Specialist, with over 60 co-authors. Other interests include Complex IVC Filter Retrievals, Dialysis Interventions, Venous Reconstructions, and Interventional Oncology. He founded and Directs the Peripheral Vascular Trainees Lab (PVTL), which had its Inagural meeting in 2024. Most importantly, he is joyously married, and father to two amazing children.

Jose I. Almeida, MD, FACS, RPVI, RVT is a vascular surgeon specializing in Endovascular Venous Surgery, practicing in both private and academic settings in Miami, FL. He serves as a Voluntary Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Distinguished Fellow of the American Venous Forum. Dr. Almeida completed his general surgery residency at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1996, followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1998. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery in both Vascular Surgery and General Surgery.

From 1998 to 2003, he was a member of the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute; then in 2003, he refined his focus exclusively to Venous Surgery and founded the International Vein Congress (IVC)—a globally recognized educational platform dedicated to the advancement of venous disease management. Dr. Almeida is the author and editor of seminal works, including the Atlas of Endovascular Venous Surgery and Sumner’s Hemodynamic Guide to Venous Diagnosis and Intervention. His expertise is further reflected in numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters on vascular surgery. He sat on the Board of Directors of the American Venous Forum and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Vascular Surgery: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders, and is past Chairman of the Society for Vascular Surgery Patient Safety Organization Venous Quality Committee, underscoring his commitment to excellence and innovation in vascular care.

Christopher Harnain, MD, is a radiologist specializing in Interventional Radiology. He currently serves as Chief, Interventional Radiology at Vantage Vascular, an outpatient Interventional Radiology practice and ambulatory surgical center with offices in New York and New Jersey. He formally was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.

Dr. Harnain graduated from University of Virginia where he earned his BS in Biochemistry and BA in Neuroscience in 2007. He received his MBA from the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia in 2012 as well as his MD from University of Virginia School of Medicine.

Following an internship in General Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Harnain served as a resident in Radiology from 2013 to 2017 at New York Medical College-Westchester Medical Center. He then completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology from 2017 to 2018 at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Dr. Harnain was an Attending Physician of Interventional Radiology at Capital Health Advanced Imaging from 2018-2019. He joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in July 2019 as an Assistant Professor of Radiology.

Dr. Olin is an internationally recognized expert in the field of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Olin is a past president of the Society for Vascular Medicine and has been awarded the highest honor from that society, Master of the Society for Vascular Medicine. Dr. Olin received the inaugural Jess R. Young, M.D., Teaching Award from the Society for Vascular Medicine, and he also received the Simon Dack, M.D., Teaching Award from the fellows at Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital. Dr. Olin received the 2016 Peripheral Vascular Disease Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Heart Association.

Dr. Olin has authored 308 scientific papers in the peer-reviewed literature, three books, and more than 80 book chapters. He has served on many writing committees of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He chaired the writing committee on Performance Measures in Peripheral Artery Disease and the Scientific Statement from the American Heart Association on fibromuscular dysplasia. He has published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Circulation, Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, among others. He is a past Associate Editor of the journal Vascular Medicine and Associate Editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. He was the Editor of the textbook Peripheral Vascular Diseases.

Since its founding in 1987, the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute has served as a national model of success in multidisciplinary cooperation, and is one of the nation’s leading cardiac and vascular institutions.

He established the interventional radiology program, cardiac catheterization laboratory and noninvasive vascular laboratory at Alexandria Hospital in Virginia in 1976, where he pioneered the use of sophisticated video and audio technology to enhance the process of education for practitioners. He is credited with being the first to use “live patient demonstrations” in the United States, which became the benchmark for procedural education in endovascular therapy and many other procedural areas of medicine. Dr. Katzen is one of the pioneers of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and peripheral thrombolysis for less invasive treatment of vascular disease and was part of the investigative team that lead to the approval of the first intravascular stent.He is one of the founders of interventional radiology as a specialty of medicine, performing the first renal angioplasty in the United States.

Dr. Peter Fitzgerald is the Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Technology and Director of the Cardiovascular Core Analysis Laboratory (CCAL) at Stanford University Medical School. He is an Interventional Cardiologist and has a PhD in Engineering. He is Professor in both the Departments of Medicine and Engineering (by courtesy) at Stanford. Presently, Dr. Fitzgerald’s laboratory includes 17 postdoctoral fellows and graduate engineering students focusing on state-of-the-art technologies in Cardiovascular Medicine. He has led or participated in over 175 clinical trials, published over 550 manuscripts/chapters, and lectures worldwide. He has trained over 150 post-docs in Engineering and Medicine in the past decade. In addition, he heads the Stanford/Asia MedTech innovation program.
Dr. Fitzgerald has been principle/founder of twenty-one medical device companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has transitioned fourteen of these start-ups to large medical device companies. He serves on several boards of directors, advised dozens of medical device startups as well as multinational healthcare companies in the design and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic devices in the cardiovascular arena. In 2001, Peter was on the founding team of LVP Capital, a venture firm, focused on medical device and biotechnology start-ups in San Francisco. In 2009, he co-founded TriVentures, which is an incubator/venture fund for early stage medical technology in Israel.

An internationally recognized expert in vascular and interventional radiology, Brian Funaki, MD, is currently the Chief of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Unversity of Chicago and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He has more than 200 publications listed in the U.S. National Library of Medicine on a broad range of vascular and non-vascular image-guided interventions. Throughout his career, Dr. Funaki has led many scientific and academic committees. He serves on the Executive Council of the Society of Interventional Radiology. An avid writer, he has authored two books and 11 book chapters. He is frequently invited to contribute articles and editorials for scientific journals, and has presented over 300 invited lectures at universities and national and international medical meetings. Katzen Endowed Chair at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, and Professor and Chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. In his role as Chief Medical Executive, he leads cardiac surgery, cardiology, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology for the 12-hospital health network.

Dr. Nguyen is active in research at a regional, national, and international level. He has published nearly 300 peer-reviewed articles, serves on the editorial boards of four academic journals and is the editor of several textbooks. Before turning 40, he received the Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award. Dr. Nguyen leads research trials on treatments for valve disease. He has been the principal investigator on landmark trials exploring transcatheter technologies. He recently served as president of the 21st Century Cardiothoracic Surgery Society and is a director of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS). He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), the Thoracic Surgery Foundation (TSF), CTSNet, and the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS).

She is the president elect of the ESVS (president in October 2026) and the ESVS PAD pathway lead.
She is specialized in complex aortic aneurysm treatment and has developed an international aortic surgery program in Amsterdam UMC.
Her research lines are focused on personalized diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases for which she has set up an international dataplatform and biobank for over 18 years. Her topics include:
1. Aortic aneurysms: the pathophysiology, proteomics, genomics, imaging and updates in treatment (Biobanking, Artificial intelligence)
2. Peripheral arterial diseases: advanced diagnosis and treatment (artificial intelligence, microbubbles and nanomedicine techniques).

He cofounded the GEST meeting, GEST MSK and Portal 360 and is an active member of the ABR, SIR, Société Belge de Gastroentérologie, Société Française de Radiologie, and CIRSE. He is a Fellow at SIR and CIRSE, a Gold Medalist of the Japanese Society of Interventional Radiology and the Iranian Society of Radiology, and an Honorary member of the Société Royale Belge de Radiologie and the Chinese College of Interventionalists.
His current research interests include prostate artery embolization, MSK embolization, Embolic materials, Hemorrhoidal artery embolization, portal hypertension, and endovascular management of liver tumors. He has been involved with basic research focused on the development of Bioresorbable embolic microspheres, Resorbable drug-eluting particles, new liquid embolics, drug-loaded bioresorbable hydrogels, animal models for the management of osteoarthritis, and the development of models for the understanding of flow dynamics during embolization. Dr. Sanjay Misra is a Professor of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Rochester and a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American Heart Association, and the American College of Radiology. He is a Physician Scientist, and his clinical practice encompasses peripheral arterial disease and dialysis vascular access management. His research has been funded by the NIH since 2010 and includes understanding the mechanisms of hemodialysis graft failure and drug deliveries and stem cell to prevent venous stenosis formation. He has performed a phase 1 IND trial using autologous adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells to prevent venous stenosis formation in arteriovenous fistulas. He also has tested translatable therapies using statins coated on microparticles as part of a phase 1 SBIR study and Vitamin D3 encapsulated in PLGA composed of nanoparticles. He has several patents issued for preventing venous stenosis formation in hemodialysis AVF.

Dr. Bulent Arslan is Professor and Chair of the Department of Interventional Radiology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Before joining Rush in 2012, Dr. Arslan held faculty positions at the University of South Florida, University of Virginia, and University of Arizona. Dr. Venita Chandra is board certfied Clinical Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Stanford University. Her research and clinical interests include limb salvage, technology development, and optimizing treatment for complex open and endovascular approaches to peripheral vascular and aneurysmal disease.

Dr. Chandra graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in genetics and cell biology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. She then earned her medical degree at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. At Stanford University Medical Center, CA, she completed a General Surgery residency and chief residency, a Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship, as well as a Biodesign Innovation Fellowship in the Department of Bioengineering and Medicine. She joined the faculty at Stanford in 2013.

The founder of the Stanford Extremity Preservation Program (StEPP), Dr. Chandra has substantial expertise in new and cutting-edge peripheral vascular and limb salvage techniques. She works to optimize patient management and educate residents and fellows in this complex field.

Dr. Madassery is an Associate Professor of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital. He is the Director of The Advanced VIR Fellowship, the Director of Peripheral Vascular Interventions & CLTI Limb Preservation Program and the IVC Filter Clinic at Rush. Recently, is now Medical Director of VIR at Rush Oak Park Hospital.

He received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, and both Radiology Residency and VIR Fellowship at Rush. Recently inducted as Fellow of the Society of interventional Radiology (FSIR) & the International Andreas Gruentzig Society (IAGS).

He has authored and co-authored numerous articles, and plethora of grand rounds & educational presentations nationally/globally. He is deeply involved with SIR, serving on Standards and Practices, current Chair of the SIR PAD Specialty Council, on the SIR Annual Meeting Committee and other roles. He reviewes for Journals such as JVIR, JSV-CIT, Journal of CLI, Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine & a Board member of the Alliance for Wound Care Stakeholders, in Washington, D.C.

Much of his practice is dedicated to Critical Limb Ischemia Revascularization and Limb Preservation. Recently, he published a multidisciplinary Comprehensive Limb Preservation Guidebook, entitled Limb Preservation for the Vascular Specialist, with over 60 co-authors. Other interests include Complex IVC Filter Retrievals, Dialysis Interventions, Venous Reconstructions, and Interventional Oncology. He founded and Directs the Peripheral Vascular Trainees Lab (PVTL), which had its Inagural meeting in 2024. Most importantly, he is joyously married, and father to two amazing children.

His Department is a well known institution in the endovascular management of CLTI patients. He developed his Vascular Fellowship Programme in Hospital del Mar (Barcelona. Spain) and thereafter completed his training with short stages in Montefiore Hospital (F. Veith. NY. USA) and Houston Methodist Hospital (TX. USA). In 2006 he became Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery and in 2011 he joined St Mary´s Hospital (London. UK) as a Senior Specialist Registrar.
For the last ten years his activity has been mainly focussed in the endovascular treatment of the lower limbs, being the co-director of the complex BTK/BTA revascularization Unit of his Department. He is also a reviewer of the Annals of Vascular Surgery and Journal of Endovascular Therapy since 2008 and 2019.
His Unit has presented multiple communications in well-recognized international symposiums and has published many papers in first-line journals of his specialty. In 2020, his clip “ Proximal venous arterialization using conventional “off-the-shelf” devices” was awarded as the most innovative video of the European Society in Vascular Surgery Masterclass.

Dr. Rundback is board-certified in radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Angiography and Interventional Radiology. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly.

Dr. Rundback's clinical and research interests focus on peripheral arterial disease, particularly complex tibiopedal therapies and deep venous arterialization for limb salvage, as well as venous interventions, carotid stenting, endovascular aneurysm repair. Constantino S. Peña, M.D., serves as the Section Head of interventional radiology. He is the medical director of vascular imaging at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
Dr. Peña earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stanford University, and his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and a vascular and interventional fellowship in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Peña is a clinical associate professor of radiology at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He has presented in numerous national and international meetings as well as participated in multiple clinical trials.
He has served for many professional organizations. He serves as the chair for the Cardiovascular Radiology & Intervention Council of the American Heart Association. He presently serves on the executive council of the Society of Interventional Radiology and was a past Annual Meeting Chair. He has served on several committee on the American Board of radiology and is a Board examiner. Eric A. Secemsky, MD, MSc, RPVI, FACC, FAHA, FSCAI, FSVM is the Director of Vascular Intervention and an interventional cardiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is also Section Head of Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Research at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research in Cardiology and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Clinically, Dr. Secemsky splits his time attending in the cardiac catheterization lab, and the inpatient and outpatient vascular medicine services. Dr. Secemsky is the primary vascular interventionalist within the BIDMC catheterization lab, where he does complex venous and arterial procedures, with a focus on peripheral artery disease.

Dr. Secemsky leads the vascular and interventional research program at the Smith Center. His research involves utilizing real-world data to perform comparative effectiveness and outcomes research, with a focus on peripheral vascular disorders. Dr. Secemsky is involved in clinical trial design and implementation, and has served as an investigator on more than a dozen trials. Dr. Secemsky’s research program is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Harvard Medical School, extramural grants and philanthropy. Dr. Secemsky has authored more than 300 publications. He is an Associate Editor at Vascular Medicine and is on the Editorial Board at Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions and Journal of SCAI. He is on the Board of Directors for the VIVA Foundation, PERT Consortium and the Society for Vascular Medicine, and is the co-chair of the Vascular Disease Council for SCAI.

A 1995 graduate of the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine, Dr. Lookstein honed his skills through a rigorous residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. His association with Mount Sinai has been both enduring and impactful, culminating in his current roles as Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine and Executive Vice Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic, Molecular, and Interventional Radiology for the Mount Sinai Health System .
Beyond his clinical and academic responsibilities, Dr. Lookstein is deeply invested in research that shapes the future of vascular care. He has been instrumental in several pivotal studies, including the VENITE VICI venous stent trial, the SAVAL study on drug-coated stents in lower leg arteries, the PRESERVE registry evaluating the safety and efficacy of Inferior Vena Cava filters, the InPACT AV trial evaluating the role of drug coated balloons for hemodialysis fistula maintenance, the STORM-PE trial evaluating the role of percutaneous thrombectomy for acute pulmonary embolism, and the NHLBI-funded BEST-CLI trial assessing endovascular revascularization for critical limb ischemia .
His leadership extends to the global stage, where he serves as the 2025–2026 President of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). In this capacity, Dr. Lookstein advocates for a longitudinal clinical practice model in interventional radiology, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork and the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance patient outcomes .

Sean Lyden, MD, is the Chairman of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Cleveland Clinic’s Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute. He also serves as Chief Medical Officer of Excelerate Strategic Health Sourcing, a venture between Cleveland Clinic and Vizient to save health care organizations money with a provider-led, physician-engaged sourcing company. He has clinical interests in abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, and lower-extremity endovascular treatments. Dr. Lyden was appointed to the Cleveland Clinic staff in 2001. He is a Professor of Surgery in the Department of Vascular Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He has been involved in more than 70 clinical trials studying various topics including thoracic, fenestrated and abdominal stent grafting; lower extremity interventional therapies with fenestrated and carotid stenting. Dr. Lyden has presented his research and clinical findings more than 400 times at national and international medical symposia and conferences. He serves on the editorial board of Endovascular Today and serves as reviewer for several journals, including the Journal of Vascular Surgery, Annals of Vascular Surgery and the Journal of the American College of Surgeons. He has authored and co-authored over 185 articles in leading publications, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, Journal of Vascular Surgery, and Journal of Endovascular Therapy. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Lee went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at University of Michigan and a Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Stanford University. In 2000, he started on the faculty of University of Florida College of Medicine Division of Vascular Surgery, where he developed a nationally-recognized endovascular program in minimally-invasive treatment of complex aortic aneurysms. Dr. Lee joined the medical staff of Boca Raton Regional Hospital in 2010, where he currently serves as the Chief of Vascular Surgery, as well as a Clinical Professor of Surgery at FAU College of Medicine. He has been the Past President of the Florida Vascular Society and is a Distinguished Member of the Society for Vascular Surgery. He has served on the Editorial Board of several prominent, peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has authored over 30 book chapters, 120 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 350 presentations at national and international meetings, and served as the principle investigator in over 25 medical device clinical trials. His practice encompasses endovascular and open surgical treatments of the entire spectrum of vascular diseases, with a focus towards complex thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections.

Dr. Sukgu M. Han is a vascular and endovascular surgeon at Keck Medicine of USC. He serves as Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy and as Co-Director of the USC Comprehensive Aortic Center. He holds the academic appointment of Professor of Clinical Surgery and Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Han completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, graduating magna cum laude in 2000. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a third-year student. He completed general surgery residency training at the University of Southern California, where he was recognized by the faculty as Outstanding Chief Resident in 2012. During residency, he also obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. He subsequently completed vascular surgery fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by additional specialized training in complex aortic repair at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Since joining the USC faculty in 2014, Dr. Han has contributed to the growth of the USC Comprehensive Aortic Center, with a focus on the care of patients with aortic emergencies and complex aortic disease. Prof. Dr. Kak Khee Yeung, is a Vascular Surgeon and full professor personalized therapy in vascular surgery at Amsterdam UMC, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
She is the president elect of the ESVS (president in October 2026) and the ESVS PAD pathway lead.
She is specialized in complex aortic aneurysm treatment and has developed an international aortic surgery program in Amsterdam UMC.
Her research lines are focused on personalized diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases for which she has set up an international dataplatform and biobank for over 18 years. Her topics include:
1. Aortic aneurysms: the pathophysiology, proteomics, genomics, imaging and updates in treatment (Biobanking, Artificial intelligence)
2. Peripheral arterial diseases: advanced diagnosis and treatment (artificial intelligence, microbubbles and nanomedicine techniques).
Recently, she is awarded with an Horizon Europe grant from the European Commission for her VASCUL-AID project (www.vascul-aid.eu). This project focuses on using AI to predict cardiovascular disease progression in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms or peripheral arterial diseases.

I am a Professor of Surgery in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of South Florida. I have a broad clinical experience that spans almost 30 years, although my primary clinical interests include aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease and large venous surgery, my research has focused on novel technologies and therapies, particularly in the realm of cardiovascular imaging. I have engendered collaborative work across specialties, giving me insights into the application of novel imaging techniques in vascular surgery. As I also hold an Adjunct Professorship at Rice University in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, I have been able to collaborate on a number of varied topics in venous thrombosis and surgical training and skills assessment. I have also been a national PI for industry sponsored trials, which gives me an understanding for the development of protocols, critical research structure and funding.
I have received funding from such sources as The National Institute of Health (NIH), The National Science Foundation (NSF), The American Heart Association (AHA) and The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), among others. The focus of my work has primarily been based in imaging of the vascular system to not only better understand pathological changes, but also to evaluate the impact of implanting devices.

Dr. Sukgu M. Han is a vascular and endovascular surgeon at Keck Medicine of USC. He serves as Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy and as Co-Director of the USC Comprehensive Aortic Center. He holds the academic appointment of Professor of Clinical Surgery and Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Han completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, graduating magna cum laude in 2000. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a third-year student. He completed general surgery residency training at the University of Southern California, where he was recognized by the faculty as Outstanding Chief Resident in 2012. During residency, he also obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. He subsequently completed vascular surgery fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by additional specialized training in complex aortic repair at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Since joining the USC faculty in 2014, Dr. Han has contributed to the growth of the USC Comprehensive Aortic Center, with a focus on the care of patients with aortic emergencies and complex aortic disease. He serves as a principal investigator in multiple clinical trials evaluating advanced fenestrated and branched endovascular aortic technologies and is an invited speaker at national and international scientific meetings.

Daniel Clair, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He then completed his internship and surgical residency, as well as a fellowship in vascular surgery, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in clinical oncology with the American Cancer Society. He served in the U.S. Air Force as chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Andrews Air Force Base before beginning his civilian practice at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He was named the division chief of Vascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Presbyterian Campus, and then later returned to the Cleveland Clinic as the department chair of Vascular Surgery, a position he held for 10 years. He was then named professor and chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of South Carolina, where he completed a five-year term. He was recently named as the inaugural chair and professor of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Vanderbilt, specializing in innovative vascular disease care.

Barry T. Katzen,M.D. is the founder and chief medical executive emeritus of the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, a system-wide center of excellence that is part of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest health system in South Florida. He is Chairman, Department of Interventional Radiology and professor of radiology and surgery, Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University; and holder of similar appointments at University of Miami, School of Medicine and University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. Since its founding in 1987, the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute has served as a national model of success in multidisciplinary cooperation, and is one of the nation’s leading cardiac and vascular institutions.

He established the interventional radiology program, cardiac catheterization laboratory and noninvasive vascular laboratory at Alexandria Hospital in Virginia in 1976, where he pioneered the use of sophisticated video and audio technology to enhance the process of education for practitioners. He is credited with being the first to use “live patient demonstrations” in the United States, which became the benchmark for procedural education in endovascular therapy and many other procedural areas of medicine. Dr. Katzen is one of the pioneers of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and peripheral thrombolysis for less invasive treatment of vascular disease and was part of the investigative team that lead to the approval of the first intravascular stent.He is one of the founders of interventional radiology as a specialty of medicine, performing the first renal angioplasty in the United States.

Dr. Rosenfield is an interventional cardiologist and vascular specialist performing complex cardiac and vascular interventions. He is Section Head for Vascular Medicine and Intervention in the Division of Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He earned a masters degree in Health Care Delivery Science from Dartmouth College. In addition to being a master clinician and interventionalist, Dr. Rosenfield has dedicated much of his career to educating fellows, residents, students, and colleagues. He is the recipient of the distinguished Laennec award for his outstanding teaching and mentorship. He is also a researcher and clinical trialist. He designed and served as national principle investigator for several landmark studies, including Aspire 2, Levant 2, Superb, ACT 1, and NIH BEST-CLI trial. He is a leader in the cardiovascular world, having been elected to the Board of Governors of American College of Cardiology, immediate past-President of the MA ACC Chapter, and immediate past-President of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). Dr. Rosenfield is a founding member of VIVA, a 501c3 organization, and sits on its board of directors. At Massachusetts General Hospital, he is the Medical director of the PERT Program, which he founded with his colleagues; he also founded the National PERT Consortium, a 501c3 organization dedicated to improving management, outcomes, and awareness of Pulmonary Embolism, and he served as its initial President; he remains a member of the PERT Consortium Executive Committee.

Dr. Vedantham, Professor of Radiology & Surgery and Assistant Dean for Clinical Research at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is an experienced Interventional Radiologist who specializes in the delivery and clinical investigation of image-guided therapies for venous thromboembolism (VTE). Dr. Vedantham serves as National Principal Investigator of the NHLBI-sponsored ATTRACT and C-TRACT Trials, which are rigorously evaluating the role of endovascular interventions in patients with DVT. Dr. Vedantham is also currently the President of the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is recognized as a highly collaborative leader of multidisciplinary endeavors aimed at improving the care of venous thrombosis, and has served on the executive boards of multiple organizations in this space.

He currently is the Program Director of the independent and integrated vascular residencies at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Muck is also the Chief of the Section of Vascular Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital. He is the Site Director for multiple FDA trials at GSH. Dr. Muck has been a speaker and/or moderator at many national and international meetings. He has written and published articles in peer reviewed journals and currently is a reviewer for the Journal of Vascular Surgery. He has authored several book chapters as well. Eric A. Secemsky, MD, MSc, RPVI, FACC, FAHA, FSCAI, FSVM is the Director of Vascular Intervention and an interventional cardiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is also Section Head of Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Research at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research in Cardiology and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Clinically, Dr. Secemsky splits his time attending in the cardiac catheterization lab, and the inpatient and outpatient vascular medicine services. Dr. Secemsky is the primary vascular interventionalist within the BIDMC catheterization lab, where he does complex venous and arterial procedures, with a focus on peripheral artery disease.

Dr. Secemsky leads the vascular and interventional research program at the Smith Center. His research involves utilizing real-world data to perform comparative effectiveness and outcomes research, with a focus on peripheral vascular disorders. Dr. Secemsky is involved in clinical trial design and implementation, and has served as an investigator on more than a dozen trials. Dr. Secemsky’s research program is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Harvard Medical School, extramural grants and philanthropy. Dr. Secemsky has authored more than 300 publications. He is an Associate Editor at Vascular Medicine and is on the Editorial Board at Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions and Journal of SCAI. He is on the Board of Directors for the VIVA Foundation, PERT Consortium and the Society for Vascular Medicine, and is the co-chair of the Vascular Disease Council for SCAI.

Aditya M. Sharma, MBBS, FSVM, RPVI, is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Medical Director of Vascular Medicine at Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also serves as Medical Director of the Venous Thromboembolism Center of Excellence and Co-Director of the Vascular Laboratories. Across Advocate Health, he chairs the Enterprise Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Effectiveness Executive Council and leads the multistate Vascular Laboratory Consortium in North Carolina and Georgia.

Dr. Sharma serves as President of the Society for Vascular Medicine and served as Associate Editor of Vascular Medicine Journal. He chaired the Society’s 2026 Vascular Scientific Sessions. Before joining Atrium Health, he was a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Virginia, where he led the Vascular Medicine Program, directed the Vascular Medicine Fellowship, and directed the multidisciplinary Pulmonary Embolism Response Team.

His clinical and academic interests include pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery disease, fibromuscular dysplasia, and vascular ultrasound. His work emphasizes multidisciplinary care, evidence-based treatment, and the development of coordinated vascular programs to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Sharma has authored more than 100 manuscripts and multiple book chapters and has contributed to national and international scientific statements and consensus documents. He is Section Head for Vascular Medicine and Intervention in the Division of Cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He earned a masters degree in Health Care Delivery Science from Dartmouth College. In addition to being a master clinician and interventionalist, Dr. Rosenfield has dedicated much of his career to educating fellows, residents, students, and colleagues. He is the recipient of the distinguished Laennec award for his outstanding teaching and mentorship. He is also a researcher and clinical trialist. He designed and served as national principle investigator for several landmark studies, including Aspire 2, Levant 2, Superb, ACT 1, and NIH BEST-CLI trial. He is a leader in the cardiovascular world, having been elected to the Board of Governors of American College of Cardiology, immediate past-President of the MA ACC Chapter, and immediate past-President of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). Dr. Rosenfield is a founding member of VIVA, a 501c3 organization, and sits on its board of directors. At Massachusetts General Hospital, he is the Medical director of the PERT Program, which he founded with his colleagues; he also founded the National PERT Consortium, a 501c3 organization dedicated to improving management, outcomes, and awareness of Pulmonary Embolism, and he served as its initial President; he remains a member of the PERT Consortium Executive Committee.

Dr. Schiro completed his fellowship training with Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute in 2010 following his diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Aditya M. Sharma, MBBS, FSVM, RPVI, is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Medical Director of Vascular Medicine at Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also serves as Medical Director of the Venous Thromboembolism Center of Excellence and Co-Director of the Vascular Laboratories. Across Advocate Health, he chairs the Enterprise Pulmonary Embolism Clinical Effectiveness Executive Council and leads the multistate Vascular Laboratory Consortium in North Carolina and Georgia.

Dr. Sharma serves as President of the Society for Vascular Medicine and served as Associate Editor of Vascular Medicine Journal. He chaired the Society’s 2026 Vascular Scientific Sessions. Before joining Atrium Health, he was a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Virginia, where he led the Vascular Medicine Program, directed the Vascular Medicine Fellowship, and directed the multidisciplinary Pulmonary Embolism Response Team.

His clinical and academic interests include pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery disease, fibromuscular dysplasia, and vascular ultrasound. His work emphasizes multidisciplinary care, evidence-based treatment, and the development of coordinated vascular programs to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Sharma has authored more than 100 manuscripts and multiple book chapters and has contributed to national and international scientific statements and consensus documents. An active clinical investigator and educator, he regularly serves as invited faculty at national and international cardiovascular and vascular meetings.

A member of the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Miami Cancer Institute physician team, Dr. Gandhi specializes in minimally invasive treatments for peripheral vascular disease, cancer, and other diseases.

Dr. Gandhi did his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and Harvard University. He graduated summa cum laude. He received his degree in medicine from Northwestern University Medical School, where he also graduated with honors. Following medical school, he completed a surgical internship at Cornell University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his residency training and fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Gandhi also dedicated an entire year to biomedical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and also served as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to joining Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, he was an international visiting scholar at Asan Medical Center/University of Ulsan Medical School in Seoul, South Korea. He has published numerous scientific papers, authored several textbook chapters and presented his research at national and international meetings.

He is also a fellow of the Society for Vascular Medicine and a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is the co-author of the textbook Interventional Oncology. Dr. Erin Murphy is an esteemed Vascular Surgeon affiliated with Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, a distinguished division of Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC where she serves as the Director of the Venous and Lymphatic Center. She is an internationally renowned venous surgeon, with expertise in pelvic venous disorders, pelvic venous imaging, and the full breadth of lower extremity venous disorders. She specializes in the treatment of post-thrombotic iliac and IVC occlusive disease.

Dr. Murphy earned her medical degree from Georgetown University. Following this, she completed her General Surgery Residency at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, and pursued a research fellowship at Stanford University. She undertook fellowship training in vascular surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She holds dual board certifications in General and Vascular Surgery.
As a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American Venous Forum and the American Venous and Lymphatic Society, Dr. Murphy actively contributes to the advancement of the field. Dr. Cynamon is the Director of the Division of VIR at Montefiore Medical Center for the past 24 years, he is also the the DR/IR program director and the Independent IR residency program director.

Dr. Cynamon earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Thomas A. Sos. Dr. Cynamon then accepted a position at Montefiore Medical Center, where he remains today.

Dr. Cynamon has written many peer reviewed papers. He described the very popular “Lyse and Wait” procedure for declotting thrombosed dialysis grafts. He also published one of the first reports of the Power Pulse Spray technique for the management of DVT. He is the lead author or contributor to over 90 peer reviewed articles, multiple book chapters and solicited reviews. He is a speaker at many international symposiums, including Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Nephrology meetings.

In 1992 Dr. Cynamon established a symposium, held annually in NYC. Dr. Cynamon along with Dr. Frank Veith, Dr. Michael Marin, Dr. Juan Parodi and Dr. Claudio Schonholtz performed the first endovascular AAA repair in the USA. Dr. Cynamon is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery at Andrews Air Force Base before beginning his civilian practice at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He was named the division chief of Vascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Presbyterian Campus, and then later returned to the Cleveland Clinic as the department chair of Vascular Surgery, a position he held for 10 years. He was then named professor and chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of South Carolina, where he completed a five-year term. He was recently named as the inaugural chair and professor of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Vanderbilt, specializing in innovative vascular disease care.

Dr. Mike Watts attended the University of Buffalo for his medical training, earning his MD in 2006, completed surgical internship and radiology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in 2011 and his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. He was the fellowship director for interventional radiology at the University of Pennsylvania and the director of interventional radiology at the Philadelphia VA until 2016. Since then he has been committed to limb preservation, treating CLI on a full-time basis in an outpatient setting. He currently practices at the Vascular Institute of Atlantic Medical Imaging.

Constantino S. Peña, M.D., serves as the Section Head of interventional radiology. He is the medical director of vascular imaging at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
Dr. Peña earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stanford University, and his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and a vascular and interventional fellowship in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Peña is a clinical associate professor of radiology at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He has presented in numerous national and international meetings as well as participated in multiple clinical trials.
He has served for many professional organizations. He serves as the chair for the Cardiovascular Radiology & Intervention Council of the American Heart Association. He presently serves on the executive council of the Society of Interventional Radiology and was a past Annual Meeting Chair. He has served on several committee on the American Board of radiology and is a Board examiner. He also served on the Radiology Info Committee of the American College of Radiology and Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Interventional Radiology Oncology Service Line.
Dr. Peña is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American Heart Association and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CT). He is also a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, Society of Cardiovascular CT, Iberoamerican Society of Interventional Radiology and the North American Society for Cardiac Imaging.

Dr. Wiechmann has been in private practice for 29 years with Vascular & Interventional Physicians in Gainesville, Florida, USA, with a particular interest in peripheral arterial disease & critical limb ischemia, abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid intervention, and venous disease. He has been elected a Fellow in 4 different medical associations, including the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Society of Vascular Medicine, the American Heart Association, and the Outpatient Endovascular & Interventional Society (OEIS) and has served in many leadership roles in these societies. Dr. Wiechmann is a founding member of the Outpatient Endovascular & Interventional Society (OEIS), serves on the Board, and is past-President of OEIS. He has given over 280 invited lectures, has been principal investigator in numerous clinical trials in peripheral arterial intervention, carotid stenting, medical therapy for PAD, and stem cell therapy for critical limb ischemia, and is lead or co-author on over 35 peer-reviewed articles.

Dr. Robert A. Lookstein, MD, MHCDL, FSIR, FAHA, FSVM,
A 1995 graduate of the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine, Dr. Lookstein honed his skills through a rigorous residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. His association with Mount Sinai has been both enduring and impactful, culminating in his current roles as Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine and Executive Vice Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic, Molecular, and Interventional Radiology for the Mount Sinai Health System .
Beyond his clinical and academic responsibilities, Dr. Lookstein is deeply invested in research that shapes the future of vascular care. He has been instrumental in several pivotal studies, including the VENITE VICI venous stent trial, the SAVAL study on drug-coated stents in lower leg arteries, the PRESERVE registry evaluating the safety and efficacy of Inferior Vena Cava filters, the InPACT AV trial evaluating the role of drug coated balloons for hemodialysis fistula maintenance, the STORM-PE trial evaluating the role of percutaneous thrombectomy for acute pulmonary embolism, and the NHLBI-funded BEST-CLI trial assessing endovascular revascularization for critical limb ischemia .
His leadership extends to the global stage, where he serves as the 2025–2026 President of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). In this capacity, Dr. Lookstein advocates for a longitudinal clinical practice model in interventional radiology, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork and the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance patient outcomes .
