Jennifer Martin, a licensed clinical psychologist with over two decades of experience in geriatrics and veteran-centered research. She leads the Benjamín León Jr. Family Center for Geriatric Research and Education at Florida Interational University College of Medicine and she serves as senior psychologist and director of the Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center (GRECC) at the Miami VA. Martin mentors students and early-career scientists with an interest in aging and sleep disorders, drawing on her research, which focuses on sleep disorders, including the development and testing of new treatments for insomnia disorder and the implementation of guideline-based care for sleep disorders in older adults and women. Martin is a past president of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and received VA’s prestigious Health System Impact Award, highlighting the importance of her research in improving care for veterans with sleep disorders.
