Pallavi Khanna

Pallavi Khanna, MD, FACOG, MSCP, is an Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Division Director of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her medical degree from Sri Ramachandra University in India and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Jamaica, Queens, New York.

Dr. Khanna is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), a graduate of the APGO Academic Scholars and Leaders Program, and serves on the Education Committee of The Menopause Society. Her clinical and scholarly interests focus on women's health across the lifespan, with particular expertise in menopause, premenstrual disorders, and midlife care. She founded and directs an academic menopause clinic within a tertiary care university-affiliated health system.

In her role as Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khanna is committed to learner development, career advising, and advancing medical education. Her educational scholarship focuses on supporting transitions in medical training, promoting learner success, and fostering faculty development. She has received numerous institutional and national teaching awards for her contributions to medical education and mentorship.

Dr. Khanna's notable accomplishments include expanding access to specialized menopause care, developing a university-wide pelvic examination under anesthesia policy, and mentoring medical students through the residency match process. Her work is driven by a passion for improving women's health and creating supportive, equitable learning environments.

2026 Sessions

PMDD and Cyclical Mood Disorders: From Diagnosis to Novel Treatments

Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and related mood disorders demand precise identification and targeted care. This session explores diagnostic criteria, symptom tracking, and emerging treatments, including neurosteroid modulation and hormonal interventions. Faculty will discuss differential diagnosis from MDD and anxiety disorders. Participants will leave equipped with tools for accurate assessment and modern, evidence-based treatment.<br><br>Session developed in partnership with the International Society of Reproductive Psychiatry (ISRP).

Reproductive Psychiatry and Counseling

Kristin Yeung Lasseter, MD is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist based in Austin, Texas who specializes in Reproductive Psychiatry and Women’s Mental Health. She is the Founder and President of Reproductive Psychiatry and Counseling, which hosts multiple psychiatrists and psychotherapists in Central Texas specializing in mental health across the reproductive life span. Dr. Lasseter is also the Director of Perinatal Psychiatry at The Women’s Center of Texas at St. David’s Medical Center, and Affiliate Faculty at The University of Texas Dell Medical School, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She volunteers her time at Postpartum Support International’s Psychiatric Consult Line and raises awareness about reproductive mental health through speaking engagements and social media (Facebook & Instagram: @the.reproductive.psychiatrist).
