Dr. Cooper was born and raised in Michigan. He attended medical school at the University of Toledo, completed the Clinical IR Pathway (precursor to the IR/DR Residency) at “The” Ohio State University, and concluded his training with a VIR fellowship at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He spent two years as faculty at the University of Michigan before joining Loma Linda University in 2018, where he currently serves as the Associate Director of IR and Program Director of the IR/DR Residency and Independent IR Fellowship. His clinical and research priorities focus on vascular disease (venous thromboembolism, complex veno-occlusive disease, peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms, dissections, and dialysis interventions), as well as portomesenteric and lymphatic interventions and percutaneous cholangioscopy.
