Herbert Aronow
MD, MPH

Herbert D. Aronow, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM, is medical director of Heart & Vascular Services at Henry Ford Health, overseeing Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardiac Surgery and Vascular Surgery for the system’s 5 hospitals. He is a Professor at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Aronow completed his undergraduate, medical school and public health studies as well has his internal medicine residency the University of Michigan and his Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. He is Past President of the Society for Vascular Medicine, past Trustee of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), past Inaugural Chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Peripheral Vascular Disease Section and past member of the ACC Board of Governors. His clinical focus is on coronary and peripheral vascular intervention and his research centers on the comparative safety and effectiveness of endovascular procedures. Dr. Aronow has published over 220 peer-reviewed original articles, editorials, chapters, and reviews. He serves on the editorial boards for Circulation, Circulation Cardiovascular Interventions, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, JACC Interventions, Vascular Medicine Journal, and Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
