Rahul Khairnar

Dr. Andrew J. Cutler attended Haverford College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning a BS in Biology.  He received his MD from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society and received the Merck Award for outstanding medical scholarship. He completed his medical internship, Internal Medicine residency and Psychiatry residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident of Psychiatric Medicine and did research on dopamine receptor pharmacology in the lab of James P. Bennett, MD, PhD.  Dr. Cutler then served as the first Assistant Professor and Director of Psychiatric Medicine at the University of Chicago.  He is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry.

Dr. Cutler has been Principal Investigator (PI) on over 400 psychiatric and medical clinical trials.  

Dr. Cutler has authored over 200 peer-reviewed scientific articles and has authored and presented over 400 abstracts/posters at various scientific meetings.  He serves as a peer reviewer for many prestigious scientific and medical journals and serves or has served on several Editorial Boards.  He has chaired or attended over 300 Scientific Advisory Boards, delivered over 3,000 pharmaceutical promotional talks and over 300 invited CME lectures and Grand Rounds presentations.  He has also done over 30 national satellite television medical education broadcasts and over 200 national medical web conferences.

Rahul Khairnar, PhD, is a Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) leader with more than 13 years of experience advancing evidence strategy, value demonstration, patient-centered outcomes research, and payer access across psychiatry, neuroscience, rare diseases, cardiometabolic conditions, and oncology.

He serves as Director, HEOR Strategy – Psychiatry at AbbVie, where he leads evidence strategy, comparative effectiveness research, real-world evidence generation, value communication, and cross-functional scientific engagement focused on major depressive disorder and bipolar I disorder.

Previously, Dr. Khairnar held HEOR leadership roles at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and Genentech. His expertise includes health technology assessment, economic modeling, patient-reported outcomes, reimbursement strategy, and evidence generation to inform clinical and payer decision-making.

He has authored more than 22 peer-reviewed publications and delivered more than 50 scientific presentations. Dr. Khairnar is also an Adjunct Professor in the PhD Program in Pharmaceutical Systems and Policy at West Virginia University, where he teaches patient-reported outcomes and mentors HEOR professionals. He earned his PhD in Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Dr. Solomon is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist, clinician-scientist, and clinical development leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning neuropsychiatry, CNS drug development, clinical research, clinical data science, artificial intelligence, digital medicine, psychometrics, and clinical outcome assessment.

Currenlty, he serves as Senior Director of Clinical Development and Program Lead at Definium Therapeutics (formerly MindMed), providing clinical-development leadership for the MM120 (lysergide) programs in generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and major depressive disorder (MDD). His work spans clinical development strategy, trial design and execution, protocol development, clinical outcome assessment, data interpretation, and scientific communication.

Throughout his career, Dr. Solomon has focused on translating clinical neuroscience into rigorous, efficient, and innovative approaches to drug development. His expertise includes psychometric methodology, eCOA/ePRO, central rater programs, digital health, clinical data science, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to clinical research. He has worked with emerging AI technologies, including large language models, to explore new approaches to clinical outcome assessment, data quality, and clinical-trial quality control.

Dr. Solomon's scientific career began in academic clinical neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience, including faculty roles at the Boston University Alzheimer's Disease and CTE Center. His research has encompassed cognitive function, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and clinical psychopharmacology, with publications in numerous peer-reviewed journals.

Rakesh Jain, MD, MPH, attended medical school at the University of Calcutta in India. He then attended graduate school at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, where he was awarded a “National Institute/Center for Disease Control Competitive Traineeship”. His research thesis focused on impact of substance abuse. He graduated from the School of Public Health in 1987 with a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree.

Dr. Jain served a three-year residency in Psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He followed that by obtaining further specialty training, by undergoing a two-year fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition, Dr. Jain completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Research Psychiatry at the University of Texas Mental Sciences Institute, in Houston. He was awarded the “National Research Service Award” for the support of this postdoctoral fellowship.

Michael E. Thase is Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry of the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania and the Corporal Michael J Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center. A 1979 graduate of The Ohio State University College Medicine, Professor Thase completed internship, residency, chief residency, and post-doctoral training in clinical research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he rose to the rank of Professor of Psychiatry and was Chief of the Division of Academic Adult Psychiatry before he moved to Philadelphia in 2007. A renowned teacher, mentor, administrator, researcher, and clinician. Dr. Thase is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Fellow of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology and, a member of the American College of Psychiatrists. In 2019, he was elected to the membership of Penn Medicine’s Academy of Master Clinicians, an honor bestowed to only 2% of the medical faculty. He is a Past President of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. Professor Thase is a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and a member of advisory boards for the Anxiety and Depressive Disorders Association, the National Network of Depression Centers, the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. A highly cited psychiatrist, his 1300+ publications include numerous citation classics. His research has been continuously funded by federal agencies for the past 40 years and focuses on novel therapies for difficult to treat depression and CBT.
