Dr. Solomon is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist, clinician-scientist, and clinical development leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning neuropsychiatry, CNS drug development, clinical research, clinical data science, artificial intelligence, digital medicine, psychometrics, and clinical outcome assessment.
Currenlty, he serves as Senior Director of Clinical Development and Program Lead at Definium Therapeutics (formerly MindMed), providing clinical-development leadership for the MM120 (lysergide) programs in generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and major depressive disorder (MDD). His work spans clinical development strategy, trial design and execution, protocol development, clinical outcome assessment, data interpretation, and scientific communication.
Throughout his career, Dr. Solomon has focused on translating clinical neuroscience into rigorous, efficient, and innovative approaches to drug development. His expertise includes psychometric methodology, eCOA/ePRO, central rater programs, digital health, clinical data science, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to clinical research. He has worked with emerging AI technologies, including large language models, to explore new approaches to clinical outcome assessment, data quality, and clinical-trial quality control.
Dr. Solomon's scientific career began in academic clinical neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience, including faculty roles at the Boston University Alzheimer's Disease and CTE Center. His research has encompassed cognitive function, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and clinical psychopharmacology, with publications in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
