Dr. Nery A. Diaz is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center where she specializes in the care of older adults aging with a life history of serious mental illness at the intersection of neurodegenerative disease and multiple medical comorbidities. She has co-authored several peer-reviewed chapters on the clinical assessment and management of sleep disorders in older adults. Dr. Diaz completed psychiatry residency training at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and subspecialty fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Diaz is board certified in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.
