Dr. Justin Faden is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Faden has a background strongly rooted in education and previously served as a psychiatric residency director at two academic institutions. Moreover, he was the Vice-Chair of Academic Affairs for the Department of Psychiatry at Temple University and was a member of numerous advisory committees on both the local and national level. He currently serves as an inpatient psychiatrist at a state hospital in New Jersey where he continues to treat patients and teach residents and students. He has published articles on a wide range of topics, with a primary focus on psychopharmacology, agitation, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. He has served on the editorial board for several journals, presented at local, regional, and national conferences, and participated on grant funded clinical trials as a primary investigator. He is an elected board member for the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, and has participated on committees for the American Psychiatric Association (APA), American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology (ASCP), and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training (AADPRT). He believes strongly in evidenced based care, narrative medicine, and individualized treatment.
