Born in Berdyansk, Ukraine, Karen Soropulova moved to the United States with her family at age 10, settling in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated high school in 2007 and continued her education at a technical college, later completing cosmetology school and building a career in hairstyling. In 2014, Karen met her husband and relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, where she lives today. With a lifelong passion for health and wellness, she is currently pursuing recertification as a personal trainer to return to the fitness industry. Karen is honored to share her lived experience as part of her doctor’s presentation, contributing a personal perspective to the conversation on mental health and patient care.
