Dr. Viktoriya Magid is a licensed clinical psychologist, a psychotherapist, and a keynote speaker. Her top specialties include trauma, substance use and addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and the study of happiness, self-compassion, and self-actualization, and spirituality.

Originally from Ukraine, she graduated from the University at Buffalo with her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in 2009, and subsequently worked at the Medical University of South Carolina for 8 years as an Assistant Professor, focusing on studying and treating substance use disorders, trauma, and related issues in adolescents and adults. She is an author of peer-reviewed publications and funded grants and was the founding director of the Adolescent Substance use Prevention and Treatment program at MUSC.

After having her third child in 2017, she has decided to leave the academic world and started her own private practice in Charleston, SC where she delivers evidence-based psychotherapy to her clients. Dr. Magid has extensive experience delivering talks, seminars, and training sessions within her community and nationwide to a variety of audiences, such as doctors, professors and medical staff, college students, attorneys and judges, executives, NFL athletes, and law enforcement. Dr. Magid was voted best Therapist of Charleston of 2025.
