Jeffrey W. Olin, DO, FACC, FAHA, MSVM

Dr. Olin is a Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Director of Vascular Medicine and the Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory at Mount Sinai Heart.

Dr. Olin is an internationally recognized expert in Vascular Medicine and has been at the forefront of establishing Vascular Medicine as a distinct subspecialty of Cardiovascular Medicine. He is past Chair of the Interdisciplinary working group on peripheral vascular disease for the American Heart Association. He is on the task force for development of performance measures in various cardiovascular diseases for the ACC and AHA. He is a past president of the Society for Vascular Medicine and has been awarded the highest honor from that society, Master of the Society for Vascular Medicine. He has received multiple teaching awards and in 2016 received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Heart Association.

He is the Principal Investigator and Chair of the Steering Committee for the United States Registry for Fibromuscular Dysplasia and Chair of the Medical Advisory Board of the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America. He is the Director of the Mount Sinai Heart Center for Fibromuscular Dysplasia Care and Research where he is studying the genetics of FMD and coronary, carotid and vertebral dissections.

Dr. Olin has authored 296 scientific papers in the peer review literature, 3 books and 85 book chapters. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
