Bruce Waterfall Memorial Award and Lecture: Innovations in Waldenström Macroglobulinemia: Practical Updates for Today’s Clinician

The therapeutic landscape of Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM) continues to evolve with advances in molecular profiling, targeted therapies, and novel treatment combinations that are reshaping clinical practice. This session will review the practical implications of MYD88 and CXCR4 mutational status for prognosis, treatment selection, and response prediction. Faculty will discuss contemporary use of BTK inhibitors, emerging data on noncovalent BTK inhibition, and the growing role of fixed-duration, chemotherapy-free combination strategies. Novel therapeutic approaches, including BTK degraders, antibody-drug conjugates, and other investigational agents, will also be highlighted.
