Teri Biven

Dr. Teri Biven, PT, DPT, CWS, FACCWS, has over 30 years of experience in the field spanning multiple practice settings and is currently the Director of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine services at Piedmont Healthcare, where she began working in 2000. She is a longtime member of the APTA and the Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management. She is an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy of Mercer University, College of Health Professions. Dr. Biven is the Residency Coordinator for Mercer's Wound Management Residency. She has been a Certified Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management since 2004 and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists since 2008. Dr. Biven was in the first cohort of Board-certified Wound Management Clinical Specialists with the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). Teri leads the ACEWM Task Force for Wound Management Residency Curricular Development and serves on the Specialty Council for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
