From clinical guidelines and surgical techniques to reimbursement strategy and diagnostic innovation, SAWC offers focused content and engaging learning formats that reflect the evolving challenges facing today’s wound care professionals.

Co-located with SAWC Spring, the Wound Healing Society (WHS) presents a robust scientific program featuring the latest research, data, and translational advances from the leading society in wound healing.

SAWC also highlights focused learning experiences such as the Wound Care Business Navigator, providing essential education on documentation, audits, billing, policy updates, and reimbursement strategies—supporting clinicians and leaders in building sustainable, compliant practices.

Across panels, rapid-fire sessions, hands-on workshops, innovation theaters, and accredited symposia, SAWC delivers education designed to meet clinicians where they are—advancing practice, collaboration, and patient outcomes across the full continuum of care.

  • Headshot of Dot Weir, Co-Chair of SAWC Spring | WHS and leading wound care clinician.

SAWC truly elevates the nursing voice in wound care and reinforces the value of interdisciplinary practice. It gives us greater confidence in how we care for our patients and empowers us to advocate for what they need. For young nurses especially, SAWC builds both confidence and clinical decision-making skills. As a wound care ambassador, my passion lies in helping to raise the next generation of wound care providers.
