Eunice Wang

Eytan M. Stein, MD is the Chief of the Leukemia Service, Attending Physician, Clinical Investigator, and Director of the Program for Drug Development in Leukemia on the Leukemia Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He conducts novel, phase I clinical trials of compounds that target the genetic and epigenetic basis of myeloid malignancies. Dr. Stein led the clinical studies of the IDH2 inhibitor Enasidenib, the IDH1 Inhibitor Ivosidenib, and the menin inhibitor Revumenib in patients with relapsed and refractory AML that led to their FDA approvals. He leads a variety of phase 1 clinical trials and serves as the lead investigator at Memorial Sloan Kettering for the BEAT AML master clinical trial. His current research focuses on elucidating mechanisms of resistance to Menin inhibitors in patients with MLL-rearranged acute leukemia. His work has been published in journals such as Nature, Nature Medicine, The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA Oncology, Cancer Discovery and Blood.

Eunice S. Wang, MD is Chief of the Leukemia Service and Professor of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. She directs the Roswell Park Hematological Procurement Shared Resource and is Physician Leader for the Roswell Park Chemotherapy/Infusion center. She also serves as an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Jacobs School of Medicine, University of Buffalo, Buffalo, NY. Dr. Wang earned her medical degree from the Keck (University of Southern California) School of Medicine and completed internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by hematology-oncology fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY, NY.

Gail J.Roboz, MD is Professor of medicine and director of the clinical and translational leukemia programs at Weill Cornell Medicine and the New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. New York, USA.

Dr. Roboz graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and Alpha Omega Alpha from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she also achieved the highest academic standing in the graduating class. Dr. Roboz completed internship in Internal Medicine at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and residency at The New York Presbyterian Hospital. She completed fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Weill Cornell Medical College and The New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Roboz’s research interests are in developmental therapeutics and novel clinical trial design for acute leukemias, myelodysplastic syndrome, and myeloproliferative disorders. She is the principal investigator on numerous investigator-initiated, cooperative group, and industry-sponsored clinical trials in these areas and has authored many related manuscripts and abstracts. Dr. Roboz serves on the Leukemia Core Committee for the Alliance clinical trials in oncology and is the Weill Cornell Principal Investigator for the MDS Clinical Research Consortium. She chairs the clinical committee of the European Leukemia Net (ELN) working group on minimal residual disease in acute myeloid leukemia. She also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation. Dr. Roboz has played an active role as a chair, speaker and panelist at numerous national and international conferences and is the recipient of prestigious honors and awards in the field.

Pinkal Desai MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Physician at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She is the Clinical Director of Molecular Aging Institute at the Einglander Institue of Prescision Medicine, WCM. Dr. Desai serves in the Leukemia Program and has a clinical practice devoted to leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). She is actively involved in clinical and translational research protocols and projects in the areas of leukemia, MDS and MPN. Her expertise is in the clinical care of patients with these diseases and she serves as principal investigator and co-investigator of numerous investigator initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials.

Dr. Desai’s research interests are in hematological malignancies particularly in the fields of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and clonal hematopoiesis (CH). In addition she has a background in epidemiology and has a strong research interest in the epidemiology of hematological malignancies, particularly in studying preventative strategies in hematological malignancies with numerous publications in the field of cancer epidemiology.

Dr. Desai is published in Nature Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, British Journal of Haematology, Blood Advances, Cancer, Cancer Medicine, Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers Prevention and International Journal of Molecular Epidemiology and Genetics. She is a member of American Society of Hematology (ASH) and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and has served on the ASCO University Committee.

Dr. Madhu Ouseph is currently an assistant professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York. He completed his medical training at Mahatma Gandhi University and the University of Delhi in India and his research training at The Ohio State University, followed by Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency training at Brown University, a Hematopathology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard University, and a Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship at Stanford University. In his current position at Weill Cornell Medicine, his clinical activities are primarily centered in hematopathology and molecular pathology. He serves as Director for Molecular Hematopathology and Associate Director for the Division of Molecular Pathology. Dr. Ouseph's research interests are broad, focused on unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying hematological disorders, identifying novel therapeutic and prognostic markers, and developing new clinical assays; this work has cumulatively led to close to 55 peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the Education Committee at the Society for Hematopathology (SH), the Publications Committee at the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP), and the Molecular Oncology Committee at the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
