BJ Schaefbauer has been the President of Primrose Retirement Communities for the past 15+ years. With his 20 years of experience practicing as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), BJ brings a unique blend of financial insight and strategic leadership to his role as the President of Primrose. His background in accounting has been instrumental in driving the financial health of the Primrose communities, ensuring sustainable growth, and enhancing the value of the resident experience.

Early in his senior living career, BJ stayed onsite in several communities creating an opportunity to immerse himself in the Primrose lifestyle. These experiences, along with being the adult child of a Primrose resident, have allowed BJ to gain unique insight into what is important to the residents, family members, and the employees.

His responsibilities encompass strategic planning, operations management, and team leadership. He believes in building and empowering teams focused on respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident. His passion lies in making a positive impact in their lives and using his financial expertise to ensure the long-term success of Primrose.
