David Cravit has an established profile and track record in writing on aging and related issues. He is the author of two previous books — The New Old, which showed how the Baby Boomers “reinvented” aging, and Beyond Age Rage, which examined the so-called war of the generations. He has appeared frequently on radio and TV, and in print, as a respected commentator on the new trends and developments driving the SuperAging phenomenon.
David was a founding partner in Saffer Cravit & Freedman, which he helped take from start-up to the largest retail specialist advertising agency in North America, with offices in Chicago, Toronto and Montreal. Following the sale of his interest in the company, he worked as an independent marketing communications consultant in the USA and Canada, and has participated at the most senior level in the creation and placement of over $3 billion of media advertising in industries ranging from retailing to financial services to hospitality to automotive. He then joined Zoomer Media, a Canadian company specializing in the "older" market, and served as a VP of the company as well as Chief Membership Officer and Board Member for CARP (Canadian Association for Retired People). He has extensive experience with the demographic that represents the customer base for the senior care industry.
In 2023, he co-wrote (with Larry Wolf), SUPERAGING: GETTING OLDER WITHOUT GETTING OLD, which describes the new revolution in longevity and presents a toolkit for making your 70s, 80s and 90s (and beyond) some of the most dynamic and productive years of your life. He and Larry then founded SuperAging News, which brings the ideas in the book to life online and continually updates this vital information for a rapidly-growing audience of highly engaged readers who are actively for those answers.
