Andrew Zelenetz

Dr. Allan is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Allan completed his undergraduate education at the University of Missouri-Columbia and graduated with a BS in both Biochemistry and Finance. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from Saint Louis University.
Dr. Allan moved to New York in 2009 to train at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Campus, where he also completed his residency and hematology and medical oncology fellowship.
Upon completion of training Dr. Allan joined the lymphoma faculty in the Division of Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Allan treats all lymphoid malignancies and has a particular interest in improving therapies for patients with CLL and Richter’s Syndrome, which is the focus of his research.

Andrew D. Zelenetz, MD, PhD, is the Attending Physician, Lymphoma Service, Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He was the Medical Director, Quality Informatics 2016-12/31/23. Prior to that, he held the positions of Vice-Chair - Medical Informatics January 2013 - May 2016 & Chief of Lymphoma Service, Division of Hematology/Oncology at MSK from 1994 to December 2012. He also is Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Dr. Zelenetz received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College, doctorate of philosophy from Harvard University's Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Division of Medical Sciences, and medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at Stanford University MC, where he completed clinical and research fellowships in oncology.

He has helped develop a number of agents now approved to treat lymphoma -- including 131I-tosituomab/tositumomab, bortezomib, pralatrexate, idelalisisb, obinutuzumab, zanubrutinib, and venetoclax. Through clinical studies, he is evaluating benefits of novel combinations of agents. He has published more than 200 papers on lymphoma research in journals

Dr. Zelenetz is a member of the ASH, ASCO, and the American College of Physicians. He participates in various committees: member of the Alliance Lymphoma Core Committee; is the immediate past chair of the SAB of the LRF. He has been the recipient of the MSKCC Fellowship Teaching Excellence Award multiple times, and he received the NCCN Rodger Winn Award from in 2012.

Dr. Zelenetz is co-Chair of the NCCN B cell Guidelines Committee.
