With almost 40 years in the industry, the Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders offers a comprehensive program of 40+ sessions led by 45+ national speakers specializing in addiction medicine, psychotherapy, recovery services, and behavioral healthcare leadership.

The agenda addresses the realities facing today’s professionals, including trauma-informed care, ethics, harm reduction, recovery capital, GLP-1s in treatment settings, suicidal ideation and engagement, co-occurring mental health conditions, nutritional psychiatry, adolescent treatment strategies, family dynamics and boundaries, TBI and substance use, older adult addiction, and emerging substances such as xylazine, nitazenes, and high-potency cannabis.

Sessions are designed to provide clinicians, counselors, medical providers, and treatment leaders with tools they can apply immediately in practice, including motivational interviewing, contingency management, resilience-building strategies, and strengthened therapeutic alliance.

With 24.5 CE credits available, the CCS agenda supports ongoing professional development while fostering a community committed to compassionate, evidence-informed care.

Call for Presentations

Share your research and knowledge with a community of like-minded peers at any or all of our 2027 Symposia on Addictive Disorders.

Our comprehensive submission process allows you to submit one proposal for all events at the same time. Workshop proposals should focus on emerging and important issues facing the behavioral health and treatment center community. Our attendees have been in the field for an average of 15 to 20 years, so advanced-level topics are preferred. 

The Call for Presentations is open! Submit your proposal for consideration before October 31, 2026, for Cape Cod or November 30, 2026, for East Coast.
