90 min
Friday, May 30, 2025
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Session Description: Relationships in the clinical setting include working with multi-generations which can be both challenging and rewarding. The differences in attitudes, beliefs, and customs can create strain on the supervisory relationship if supervisors are not prepared to learn and work across the generational gap. The lived experience of the different generations that are both different and shared create a complex relationship that must be examined and adapted to meet the needs of clinicians. In this session we will explore the generational diversity that is a part of clinical supervision, we will identify what challenges and opportunities this presents, and review how to apply different interventions in clinical supervision to ensure ethical and individualized supervision is provided to clinicians.
