John A. Boswick Award and Lectureship: From Bench to Clinic to Professional Society to Guidelines: A Fifty Year Journey

The annual John Boswick Award is given for global, selfless leadership in improving the scientific understanding or care of persons with wounds, lifelong achievement, and dedication in the field of wound care. This year's awardee is Dr. Adrian Barbul, MD, FACS. The science of wound healing is complex, multidisciplinary and requires team work . To make a difference at bedside, science must have proven clinical relevance, industry and government support and be carried out by a cadre of dedicated and courageous front line workers.
