Want to Get Involved with SAWC?

Don't just attend the meeting; be a part of it.

The bi-annual Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Spring and Fall meetings are the largest gathering of wound care clinicians in the world. Over the past 36 years, HMP Global, the owner/manager of SAWC, has trusted a select group of wound clinician volunteers to serve as Faculty Presenters, Host Committee Members, Publication Peer Reviewers, and Difference Makers. In our ongoing efforts to involve our wound care community and bring emerging voices to the forefront of our meeting, we are seeking volunteers with a passion for wound care, helping others, and becoming a part of our SAWC family.

If you are interested in becoming more involved with SAWC, please read about the roles and responsibilities available, then fill out the form below to apply!

    • Faculty Presenter

HMP Global Wound Care produces leading and trusted in-person and virtual conferences focused on educating wound care professionals across the care continuum. Our education is inclusive and interdisciplinary - delivered by the most dynamic, well-known, and emerging voices in the field.  If you are a dynamic and engaging Difference Maker seeking opportunities to share your perspectives with the global wound care community, apply today!

    • SAWC Host Committee

A staple of the SAWC meetings is the dedicated group of passionate and energetic wound care clinician volunteers who serve as our SAWC Host Committee. The SAWC Host Committee sets the tone for the attendee experience and is an onsite extension of the conference staff supporting our attendees and faculty presenters. Host Committee members receive complimentary registration* to attend SAWC and will be mentored/trained by SAWC Host Committee Leadership.

    • SAWC Difference Maker

SAWC Difference Makers are a group of inspiring individuals who actively seek to advance the practice of wound care. They value being part of an interdisciplinary team, mentoring those new to the field, and disseminating their wound care knowledge with colleagues.  Difference Makers positively impact their communities and inspire others to be resilient with one mission in mind - to provide better care and better outcomes for their patients. If you or a colleague are working on something you are passionate about that is advancing the field of wound care, we want to hear about it!

Nominate an individual who you think is a Difference Maker. Please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

    • Publication Peer Reviewer

Peer reviewers help to shape the content of journal publications by assessing relevant manuscripts on specific topics or practices within the reviewer’s respective specialty. By thoroughly reviewing manuscripts per respective publication requirements, reviewers provide valuable feedback to authors while remaining current with the latest research and practices in wound care. The journals are Wounds and Wound Management and Prevention.
