Jonathan Johnson, MD, MBA, CWSP, FAPWCA is a renowned healthcare leader
and innovator, serving as the founder and surgical director of Comprehensive Wound
Care Services (CWS) in Washington, DC. Affectionately known as "Dr. Wounds," he is dual
board-certified by the American Board of Wound Management and the American
Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and holds the esteemed designation of Fellow of the
American Professional Wound Care Association (FAPWCA).
Dr. Johnson’s distinguished medical career began with specialized training in
general surgery at Union Memorial Hospital and Howard University, followed by a
prestigious fellowship as the Sylvester J. Carter Hand and Plastic Surgery Fellow at
Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Cornell University. He also
serves as the Director of Surgical Services & Wound Care at Bridgepoint Hospital in
Washington, DC, and is a graduate faculty professor at Towson University College of
Health Professions.
Dr. Johnson’s academic and professional pursuits extend beyond medicine. He
earned an MBA in Healthcare Finance from the Carey Business School at Johns
Hopkins University and completed specialized certifications in Digital/Virtual Health at
Harvard Medical School. Further, he holds dual certificates in Private Equity and Hedge
Fund & Buy-Side Investing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
As a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Dr. Johnson actively
contributes to the advancement of healthcare knowledge through research, scholarly
publications, and national conference presentations.
