Wound Care Business Navigator: The Foundations of Coding and Compliance in Wound Care

Designed as a 101-level session, this session anchors attendees in the fundamentals of coding, compliance, and documentation. Special attention will be devoted to documentation that supports the medical necessity of services provided, helping to avoid the #1 reason for audit failure. The presenters, both certified professional medical auditors, will share the official references for guidance provided and share the pearls that help providers build bullet proof documentation that supports the standard of care. Diagnosis coding and CPT® coding guidance relevant to wound care practices will be provided. Attendees, both those newer to wound care and seasoned practitioners alike, will leave with a solid foundation of coding and documentation practices they can apply immediately in their own charting.
