Caralin Schneider is a current Wound Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and medical student at the University of Miami. Caralin received her B.A. in biology and minor in medical anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2016. She is an aspiring academic dermatologist with research and clinical interests in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), medical dermatology, public health, and wound healing.

RAPID FIRE: Point of Care Ultrasound

This presentation examines the role of point-of-care ultrasound in wound assessment and diagnosis. Faculty will discuss the identification of tunneling, undermining, abscesses, foreign bodies, osteomyelitis, and other hidden pathologies using portable imaging technology. Attendees will gain an understanding of how ultrasound can enhance clinical evaluation and guide treatment decisions.
