This presentation explores comprehensive pressure injury prevention and management strategies in the acute care setting. Faculty will discuss patient-specific risk factors, special populations and clinical considerations, support surface selection, mobility and repositioning strategies, and interdisciplinary approaches to pressure injury prevention. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to establish the frameworks, processes, and accountability structures needed to implement a proactive pressure injury prevention program that supports tissue protection, promotes healing, and improves patient outcomes across the continuum of acute care.
