Dr. Ashry graduated from Temple University School of podiatric medicine. He completed his residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he stayed on as a clinical professor in the Department of Orthopedics. He has been involved with extensive foot and ankle related research and has published over 30 articles in medical literature and has lectured all over the United States and internationally. In 2000, he was named as “Young Practitioner of the Year” by the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. In 2006, 2013, and 2020 he was listed as one of “America’s Top Podiatrists”. He served as the President of the local medical societies in San Antonio, TX and Palm Beach County, Fl. Currently, he practices in a large group in Palm Beach and serves on the Foot and Ankle Residency Training and Professional Education Committees at 2 top 100 hospitals. In addition, Dr. Ashry is an attending at two major wound centers (JFK Limb Salvage and wound management Center, and St. Mary’s Medical Center). He is on trauma emergency call for foot and ankle injuries at five different hospitals in Palm Beach County. He is a member of the American Academy of Wound Management and Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
