Dr. Teri Biven, PT, DPT, CWS, FACCWS, has over 30 years of experience in the field spanning across multiple practice settings, and is currently the Director of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine services at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, where she began working in 2000. She is an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy of Mercer University, College of Health Professions, where she is the Residency Coordinator for their Wound Management Residency. She has been a Certified Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management since 2004 and a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists since 2008. Dr. Biven was in the first board-certified wound management clinical specialist cohort with the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Teri leads the ACEWM Task Force for Wound Management Residency Curricular Development and serves on the Specialty Council for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
