My military career and now into my civilian academic career have been dedicated to the care of the burn patient. Most of my military career was devoted to the care of Soldiers, Marines and Airmen with combat related injuries and I served as the sole burn expert while deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. My research has also focused on the care of the burn patient with specific focus recently on regenerative medicine.
