Dr Georgescu graduated from the University of medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila in Bucharest, Romania. He pursued internal medicine and infectious diseases training at the SUNY Downstate Medical Centerl and has been faculty at the University of Toledo since 2018. He is a passionate teacher for the Infectious Diseases fellows and has been the ID fellowship director at University of Toledo since 2014. His main clinical interests are Antimicrobial Stewardship and management of HIV, as well as wound care and hospital associated infections.
