Thea Price, MD, FACS is an Acute Care Surgeon and Medical Director of Complex Wound Care in the Department of Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. She serves as the Medical Director of all inpatient and outpatient wound care.

She trained at UAMS, Thomas Jefferson University, University of Colorado and University of Chapel Hill. Clinical interests include calcification disorders, radiation injuries, hidradenitis suppurativa, and other complex acute and chronic wounds. She has a basic science lab that studies ectopic mineralization and heterotopic ossification and runs multiple wound care trials for new technologies. She is passionate about ground-breaking wound care innovation.
