Lucian G. Vlad, MD, received his medical degree at the University “Lucian Blaga” in Sibiu, Romania, and did his residency at the Grand Rapids Medical Education & Research Center. Dr Vlad is board certified in family medicine. He is currently a clinical associate professor, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. He is a full-time physician at the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medical Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr Vlad is the Director of the Wound Care Fellowship at Atrium Health Wake Forest. His research interests include hyperthermia, low-intensity lasers, and scaffolding grafts. His advocacy efforts include collaborations with AAWC as Ed Committee Co-chair, member of WHS, Director of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery, and Chair of Real World Evidence Workstream as part of Wound Care Collaborative Community. Dr Vlad is also a student in the Health Informatics Masters program at the School of Professional Studies at Wake Forest.
