Amanda Murray

Since 2008, Amanda Murray, NP-C, WCC, has specialized in wound care across a wide spectrum of clinical settings—including Hospital Outpatient Departments (HOPDs), inpatient units, outpatient clinics, podiatry practices, and mobile wound care services. With nearly two decades of experience, she brings a deep understanding of the complexities of chronic and acute wounds, blending clinical expertise with a relentless curiosity.
She says that wound care is more than treatment—it’s detective work. Finding the missing link that prevents healing is her life's work. Whether it’s identifying an overlooked comorbidity, asking the patient more questions about their history, or navigating the nuances of vascular compromise, she approaches each case with precision and compassion.
Her practice is rooted in patient-centered care and evidence-based practice. She’s known for her ability to connect with patients, educate families, and streamline care plans to make them simple and obtainable the goal the patient has set for themself, which interestingly is not always wound healing. From bedside to remote visits, she adapts seamlessly to each environment, always advocating for the best outcomes.

Dr. Jose Jaller is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. Prior to dermatology residency, he completed a two-year wound healing research fellowship and a two-year dermatopharmacology fellowship, which helped shape his focus on clinical research and therapeutic development in dermatology and wound healing. Dr. Jaller specializes in complex medical dermatology and the management of chronic and atypical wounds. He cares for patients at the University of Miami Wound Center, where he regularly manages difficult to heal ulcers and complex inflammatory wound conditions. His clinical and research work focuses on improving the diagnosis and treatment of challenging wounds and advancing clinical research in wound care. Dr. Jaller frequently lectures at national and international meetings on wound healing and complex dermatologic disease.
