Dr. Samuel Nwafor MD FACP FAPWCA is the Medical Director of The Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Mountain Vista Hospital Mesa Arizona. He is also the Medical Director of the Wound program at Tempe St Luke’s Hospital in Tempe, Arizona and the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Hannah Medical Institute, Phoenix Arizona. He is a certified wound physician who is also dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine. He attended the University of Nigeria College of Medicine, Enugu, Nigeria and did his postgraduate residency training at the New York Medical College /Metropolitan Hospital, New York and the State University of New York/St John’s Episcopal Hospital, Farrockaway New York. Dr Nwafor holds a postgraduate Executive leadership & management certificate from the Said Business School, University of Oxford, England.
He is on the World Health Organization (WHO) Skin, Wound & Rehabilitation Working Group and is also on the Board of Directors of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP).
Dr Nwafor is also on the International guidelines Working Group of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel/Pan Pacific Wound Alliance & The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel. He is on the editorial board of the International Wound Journal.
