Dr. Scargle is the founder and medical director of Concord Health, a multidisciplinary outpatient psychiatric clinic in Clearwater, Florida. Prior to establishing Concord Health in 2007, she worked in Community Mental Health, caring for diverse and underserved populations.
Dr. Scargle earned her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine, completed her Psychiatry Residency at Duke University, and went on to a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Florida.
Her approach to clinical care is patient centered and includes psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and both Spravato and intramuscular ketamine treatments. She is also deeply committed to advancing care for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), integrating ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with trauma-informed modalities such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Central to her practice is her belief that, beyond medications and neuromodulation, the clinician is an essential part of the healing process. As she often says, “If a patient leaves the appointment feeling seen and heard, hope has room to grow and the path toward healing feels supported and possible.”
Dr. Scargle is actively involved in improving clinician and public awareness of tardive dyskinesia (TD). She collaborates with the National Organization of Tardive Dyskinesia and serves as a primary investigator for the IMPACT-TD study, a three-year Phase 4 clinical trial examining the lived experience of those with TD.
She also serves as a preceptor for PMHNP students and finds great fulfillment in mentoring. A self-described “nerdy science kid,” she treasures the privilege of blending neuroscience with compassionate care.
